Fastboot has the ability to power down and reboot your device normally as well. If you have HTC sync manager, go to its program folder and look for a subfolder "lib" that has adb and Fastboot inside.

Hold Shift and right click a blank portion of your folder window. Then "Open a command window here."

Note that you don't have to open Sync Manager, just utilize those files. Be sure to put files you need here as well. Because of where you are in Windows, please have Admin credentials ready.

My power button almost wound up like that too. I put it in my cold lunch bag and it stopped spazzing. If your phone heats up a lot, your button is at risk of failure.

Depends. Does the node still work? If so you can make a makeshift button and superglue it in place.

You can find such kits at hobby shops such as Michael's or Office Depot...

what's next, Sir?

Plug into your PC and open command prompt in ADB.
Enter adb reboot
The first time probably won't work, so enter adb reboot again, and you phone should power on

Of course, this is assuming that you have ADB debugging turned on in developer options in settings.

EDIT: I see in you first post that you are in bootloader mode, so the command should be fastboot reboot and not adb reboot
I just skimmed back for my original reply, and thought that you couldn't turn your phone on at all.
You could also try the adb reboot commands while your phone is powered off.
