Hello, just got myself LG G7, so I want to unlock bootloader.
Device state:
Model: LM-G710EM
ADB debugging - ON
OEM Unlock - ON
PC state:
Windows 10 1903
LG Mobile drivers 4.4.2 installed and rebooted
Android platform-tools
- fastboot 29.0.4-5871666
I have got my unlock code file

Whenever I try
Code:
fastboot flash unlock unlock.bin
I get loads of different errors like
Code:
FAILED (Status read failed (Too many links))
or
Code:
FAILED (command write failed (Unknown error))
I have tried to change usb ports (front panel, back of the pc right from motherboard) and different cables (the one which came with phone and my original htc 10 cable), but nothing helps.
I dont really know what I can try next. Any tips or ideas?

Burn a linux distro to a USB drive, boot up, then try from there? I know there's one specific one floating around XDA that is specialized just for Android stuff like that - FWUL. Might be worth a try.

The problem is USB 3.0 or USB 3.1. You should use a USB 2.0. Windows default USB driver have some problems, but I tried with Linux and have same problems.
So, I found Intel customized USB 3.1 drivers for my chipset and it solves the problem.

Thank you very much, that FWUL did the trick. Flashed on the first try, no issues at all, tried all ports on my pc just to test and every one was working just fine. Curse Windows USB drivers
