hello,

i s-offed and rooted my htc sensation. i also managed to install 4ext recovery. right now i am on 1.17. now i want to flash some custom rom.

but when i try to install one the PG58IMG.ZIP from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21989063&postcount=1

none of the zips will work. the bootloader doesnt seem to recognize the file at all. its in root on the sd-card and i got supercid. so it should work. all i get is:

HBOOT
SD Checking...
Loading...[PG58DIAG.zip]

Loading...[PG58DIAG.nbh]
No image or wrong image!

No image or wrong image!
Loading...[PG58IMG.tar]
No image!
Loading...[PG58IMG.aes]
No image!
Loading...[PG58IMG.enc]

i also tried different sd-cards (8gb and 32gb) with the same results.

what else can i do? any hints? thanks in advance.

Assuming you have adb/fastboot setup
copy the PG58IMG.zip to the adb/fastboot folder of your pc

then connect the phone from bootloader/fastboot to pc (phone reads fastboot usb after this)

then open command window from the adb/fastboot folder
(if windows .. hold shift + right click -> open command window here)

then these commands one by one

fastboot erase cache (if failed ignore it)
fastboot oem rebootRUU (black screen with silver HTC)
fastboot flash zip PG58IMG.zip (flashing the zip)
fastboot reboot-bootloader

that would do

Op: use a smaller sd card. Bootloaders can take a huff with larger cards :)

Messing around for weeks already :S

Hey, I am a new member and I have been messing around and looking around for a couple of weeks already with the same problem. I found this post because it is pretty much the same problem that I am experiencing.

So I tried to follow all the instructions here, but nothing. My phone is in a bootloop, I can get into the bootscreen, but even if I select recovery, it gets into a bootloop again, just the HTC whitescreen and then restarts again.

Before I flashed Revolution HD on the phone and it worked really good for a couple of days, then I chose the camera and it froze. I restarted the phone and then it started, the bootloop and at some point it started working again, but just for a day and it froze again and after that I went to the bootloader and this showed up...

I had 4ext recovery and I tried to install it again, but nothing. I also tried to flash CWM recovery on it, but still the same. I tried to flash everything, but still nothing. I have tried pretty much everything I have found and starting to feel pretty much desperate about the matter. I also attached an image about my bootscreen and I hope that at least somebody could help me.

Thank you for bearing through the long text...

I tried flashing this rmk-pyramid-stock_ics_3.32.401.3-v1 on the phone, but then it showed that I am on 1.27 and this is where I am now... Did I do something wrong maybe?

No not that
Go to Sensation development section - kohr ah's firmware thread - 3.33 universal firmware
Flashing instructions in the same guide too

Okay, I followed the post, but when I update the firmware, everything is OK except for [8] RADIO_V2 - Fail-UZ

I know that I should look around for a fix on this one as well, but always when I start looking around I get to new threads and finish nowhere sadly, so if anybody knew a fix for that, then I'd appreciate it :)

Did the radio update failed?
Can you try again and tell me

If it indeed failed then it's hardware error :(

do i flash the pg58img.zip while on the black screen with silver htc...if so how long should it take to flash. Thank you, Robplll

Once the command on terminal gets over it is done ..the progress bar on the phone never completes in this case
