Do you ever wanted to install TWRP, root MM or install custom ROMs?
... THEN READ ON

As I do not know if you here are aware of my unlocking attempts I wanted to point to my thread over here:

https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/bl-unlock-unlock-bootloader-proof-t3648288

Before starting check your antirollback version ( http://tinyurl.com/antirollg4 )! This method will *not* work for devices with an ARB>=3.

The main thing is that my method is based on flashing / converting any device into a LS991:
So if you own a LS991 device it should just work for you - without functional limitations (afaik)!

I mean until now I have no LS991 testers yet but that hopefully changes after this post ;)

After looking, can you clarify how things would be different if you use that procedure with the Sprint LS991?

I ask because seems like most of the steps are for tricking *other* phones into saying that they are LS991. But, if you already have a sprint phone, it already will say that, so what is left of the procedure that is somehow different from previous attempts?

Is it something about using a different windows boot mode to install TWRP - is the new procedure somehow allowing us to install TWRP permanently on a sprint LS991?

It will disable secure boot *enforcement*. That means it will still detect modifications of your boot and recovery partition but ignoring it so you can install TWRP and custom ROMs.

I can say up to ZV6 only but as long as no one test I can't say for sure.. I still can't say if the anti rollback means qfuse because in my tests I was able to flash an anti rollback of 2 which can also be device model specific behavior btw..

I have an LS991 on anti rollback v3 I think, or whatever corresponds to ZVB. So I think that's too late, and the only way to test is if you have ZVA or earlier, is that right?

The OP says it won't work on ARB>=3.
But when I checked at the link, it uses different terminology, like v1, v2, v3. I'm guessing but is ARB equivalent to v?

V means "version" :)

ARB v1
or "antirollback version 1"
or "antirollback 1"
or "ARB 1"

All the same :)

I've also ZVI but 5689#*991# or any other code doesn't work. SVC Menu is not there?
I want to root my phone and install a custom rom.
Plz help...
ZVI has ARB 4. No chance (yet). There is a little chance but this requires I can get SALT work in download mode for MM ROMs which is nothing which will happen soon.

Two different people already told you it was impossible.
How about "Kingroot.apk"? I read in some threads few people rooted thier Ls991 and freezed an app for 'Hands free activation'. Can I try it, isn't there any chance of soft or hard brick? Bcz they were on ZV5 or ZV6
These are some links...

I need to ROOT or DOWNGRADE only because to get rid of "Hands Free Activation" and use a local 3G/4G service. Otherwise I will have to change the mobile.
