If you're looking at a grey bar towards the top, you've gone too far. Below the grey box it shows what sub-forum you're in and the -> eventually get the thread you're in.

thanks for the link back because i really didn't want to ask somebody how to get back to my messages, they probably would of banned me from the site at that point. and as far as humility goes, i such at this stuff I've bricked every phone I've had trying this crap up until my last one the huawei ascend mate 2, but not for lack of trying just started admitting to myself that i suck and ask for help. so the zenfone 3 deluxe you think there will be any custom roms developed for it? because of not I'm just gonna turn it and maybe try the oneplus 3t or just go back to my mate 2.

unlock bootloader not easy

hello, and so sorry for my bad english.

I have try to unlock my bootloader on my 'Asus zenphone 3 deluxe' with the official tool of the asus website : https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-3...Desk_Download/
I have hunderstand and test all step of the manual but when I reboot my device in recovery mode (fastmode ? ) I have an error message : no commands
(with the dead android logo) ... I dont hunderstand why .

but it is the same error .

but in normal mode my phone work perfectly but I don't have root access.

in the unlock tool for my model ZS570KL https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-3-Deluxe-ZS570KL/HelpDesk_Download/
there is a document which they called "ZSnnnKL unlock tool SOP.pdf"
there is a single statement 'fine print' (not really that small, it is normal text) that reads
"For Android Mlease make sure the FW version is 4.12.40.1698 and above."
no similar note for "Android N"
but it did mean that 1'd need to update firmware/rom to the latest release before running the unlock tool

the fast boot prompt is basically the rom flasher interface, which means it is likely possible to flash a stock rom using fastboot to restore it, however, i do not know how to do that too

if you would not like to play around with fastboot to flash a rom my suggestion may be that you may like to try approaching the service center to try to get them to restore it firsthand, never mind about that unlock tool etc. My guess is there is a standard approach to flash the rom back to 'normal' e.g. using fastboot

on a sidenote, do anyone here knows how to flash those stock firmware from Asus(https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-3-Deluxe-ZS570KL/HelpDesk_Download/) using fastboot? could kindly post the instructions as well?
i think that would really help anyone here who wants to restore the stock rom.

At this point press the power button and volume up button ONCE and you will have the fastboot menu

I think you mean the stock recovery...

There is no fastboot menu, it either just says fastboot on the screen, displays a phone logo or just displays a black screen...
Generally though it does say fastboot.

also as a newbie in "asus area" due to owning for many years rooted samsung galaxy and note series phones, i want to ask some questions about a secure and simply method of rooting zs570kl (2,15 ghz) phone version.

i have unlocked!! (how can i check if my phone is unlocked?) the bootloader with the new version of unlocker tool supprting Android N and istalled manually Nougat software from asus official site(ww_5.14.44.1898).

i have read some threads about twrp+magisk methods/apk but it is not so clear for me also for the reason beacuse some friend in this forum posted a thread about bricked phone while he was unlocking/rooting his phone.
any help appreciated
