Discontinued two or so months ago, discussed in many threads on XDA (btw, XDA has a nice search facility) and what/how to use instead - DC Unlocker/HCU Client for 4 Euros credit
Don't bother your self, I've tried dc-unlocker a few days ago, and it ended not supporting my Huawei P20 Lite, and their support sucks, I've seen some posts on Reddit from people who contacted Huawei's support on twitter, and they positively responded with the code, try your chances.

I have used DC myself a month ago for P9 L19, there was no problem, it took me 5 minutes and didn't need any help

Just follow their online howto links and if needed improvise (docs are maybe little outdated)

Is there any method to get unlock code on Linux? All of the mentioned applications not working on Linux (tried with Wine). Maybe there are some cloud solutions that generate unlock code online?

You can try the DC Unlocker through a Virtual Machine, you better try it on a Windows 7.

@update, their technical support ( the contact form on the huawei's website ) can get your bootloader unlocking code, the only issue is that it takes a few days, til you receive it.

Not correct, I bought one yesterday and got mail almost instantly and unlock my P9. Flash went ok, but I still got some problems on my phone don't know if it's battery or what It just stuck on T-com logo, maybe it's motherboard or something...previous owner told me that phone got slow from time to time and that he hard reset it, and after that this thing happend phone just stuck on T-com logo, I tought ok flash will do the trick, but it didn't.

In the good, old days it was just a matter of submitting info like model, device id, imei, e-mail address via an on-line form to Huawei - hence not depending on the PC and its OS

You can try the app (Playstore tells me not available in my country)
