nicholaschum - is there any way to get this to work on lollipop - Temasek 4.7? Ive tried everything I know to do, definitely need a g=hand here. I really dig these bootanimations but I have been unable to get it to work. See previous post on this page as to what Ive tried. I even tried changing png to jpg and that was a fail. Thanks, man

I just got another boot animation to work on Lollipop, however I used a flashable zip and flashed it right in.

When placing the bootanimation.zip inside, I made sure it had no compression within the flashable zip. Also, try extracting bootanimation.zip, then using WinRAR to zip it all up while setting Compression to STORE.

This worked for me when I was working with another boot animation.

Unable to change BOOT LOGO/SPLASH SCREEN

INSTALLATION OF BOOT LOGO/SPLASH SCREEN
Reboot your phone into Fastboot mode (When fully turned off, hold down VOLUME UP + POWER until you see "Fastboot mode")
Place "logo.bin" into your fastboot folder (FOUND ON THE PLAY STORE LINK DESCRIPTION!)
In the fastboot folder, press Shift + Right click on a blank area. Click on "Open command window here"
Type fastboot flash LOGO logo.bin and press enter. After complete type in fastboot reboot

I tried above steps.. No luck on my Xperia Z, Unlocked bootloader. (Am using MultioROM aswell)..
Output of the command: fastboot flash LOGO logo.bin
sending 'LOGO' (9591 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.312s]
writing 'LOGO'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.312s

Logo.bin only works on OnePlus One.

Not sure how to create flashable zips.. Could you check if your red-no-fade is working that way? If yes, would appreciate if you could take time out to make flashable zips for us who are on Lollipop.

It could be due to the resolution or the FPS in desc.txt.

Made a flashable zip, still not working :/

Ok.. so I'm guessing it will help solve the issue? I've observed that people on Custom Lollipop ROMs (like me) love your animation. I used it when I was on 11S.. and loved it.. and want the same feel on SimSaber ROM as well.

Does the DPI of the ROM have anything to do with it? I know that most Custom ROMs have lower DPIs to increase the screen realestate.

Nope. That part of boot doesn't get affected by DPI.

Templates aren't out yet. Our internet is down right now so we're using phone internet. Can't download the latest version of temasek to try it out.
