I could successfully change the boot logo. But after updating LOS 16 to the latest version the old boot logo again appeared. This might be related to the A/B partitions. How can I make sure the modified boot logo always appears? Just flash it again on the 2nd partition? Thx
I would suggest simply backing up logo in TWRP and restoring it after flashing ROM.

Hey bud you seem to be the expert here.
All I see on github is some older files. Looks like the latest app is 2.4. Will that work on this or did you use something else? I'm dying to get any one if these (I prefer the 1st one it really make the wife happy ?)
Just about any of those would be awesome.
But I don't mind doing it myself.

Meanwhile I found out that the most simple solution seems to be flashing the new boot logo to both partitions using "fastboot flash logo_a (logo you pick).bin" and "fastboot flash logo_b (logo you pick).bin". That way the logo gets placed on both partitions. When after an update the other partition gets used then it also contains the logo.

You are definitely right.
There were so many that I didn't notice nor think about it.
My deepest apologies to you. These are all great work.
