Yes you can. If you want to keep original then rename .bak first, then copy the new ones over.

right I am already running a custom animation ! just can't find files in proper qmg and the zip extracted one tend to make the phone do funny things at boot time sometimes I am stuck in boot loop !:silly:

In system-media do you only have qmg files or is there a bootanimation.zip file too? The ones here will flash fine in recovery, I used his aroma installer for any stock qmg file based rom and it worked great. Even flashed the dragon in recovery and never had an issue.

flashing through recovery is fine as these are made for that but don't have a bootanimation.zip in /system/media
it just has bootsamsung.qmg bootsamsungloop.qmg & shutdown.qmg
what to do ???

Yes and what you mean? I make in qmg file so why you ask about bootanimation.zip?

I mean that I have no bootanimation.zip but I found other animations on qmg format they are working :good:
