Just recently switched from a op7t to the op8t.

I recently noticed it runs a warmer then my previous OnePlus device. As well as battery drain , fully stock. Running OOS.

My tempature varies from 38c - 45c. I have read anything higher than 38c is " high ". 3rd party app states average temp is 31c. With or without phone cover .

Battery seems to go much quicker than 7t. I understand the 120hz screen has a big role in that . But I'm hardly using the phone .

I still have 10 days if I wanted to return this device in for a replacement . At best buy , I'm wondering if I should swap it out ?

I've been " lightly " using this phone , thinking about pushing it sounds like it would raise in temp even more.

What do you guys think ? Swap or keep?

You need to optimize it. Find out what's hogging the battery.
How bright is the display?
Keep it at 50% or less and don't use it in direct sunlight.
If you don't feel comfortable with it, return for refund.

My Note 10+ is running about 5°F above ambient when browsing on the web. It use 7-9%@ hr of the battery doing this.

As per the forum post, the OnePlus 8T with the 4,500mAh battery would be charged fully in 39 minutes and almost 58 percent in just 15 minutes — thanks to the proprietary Warp Charge 65 technology. The rumour mill already suggested the battery capacity and the new charging technology on the OnePlus 8T.

You can expect the OnePlus 8T to get you through a day's worth of use before gasping for electrical juice, thanks to its 4,500 mAh battery. In our test, which involves continuous web surfing with the display set at 150 nits of screen brightness, the 8T managed 9 hours and 58 minutes with its screen running at 120Hz.charter panorama
