This is all so sad really that us LG G4 Sprint owners are strong-armed into Sprints "take it or leave it" attitude. Anyway, I have the ZV9, so is there any way to rollback to ZV6? My camera doesn't work and I can't change anything in Apps such as Force Stop and such. Thanks in advance guys and Mad Scientist hats off to you bro! Did a great job for what you had :)

Hi there! Thanks for the reply. I have actually bricked my G4......No download, no recovery...just a flash of the LG logo and then it goes away. It does show in device manager as Qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008...so at least it shows there. But I'm trying everything to get a DZ file so I can use the extraction tool and see if I can flash somehow :(

there is no firehose dll for qpst which is the only program to reflash without octoplus box
might be the bootloop issue call lg they should waranty it but the new device will be updated to zvf or g no root no downgrade

u tried to flash zv5 or 4 didnt you
zva is only downgradable to zv6
No, I actually tried to go from V9 to V6 hoping the issues I was having...camera....settings' errors and so on would go away. Do you think now that JTAG is the only way/ Or just get a used motherboard? I actually bought the phone from Swappa so the warranty wouldn't cover a non original owner I believe

Bypass lg g4 anti rollback with JTAG

Yea it would be great if every one could enjoy this.
Octoplus box with jtag. I think can do it but 350 bucks.
I oredered one a few days ago. I cant wait i got another lg with antirollback i wanna try it on
Im hoping this will bring in new devs and someone will figure this out too
Have you had any success with bypassing ARB with jtag yet for lgg4

I just can't help but feel like this is kind of too good to be true. That being said, multiple people have said they've cracked it, but are holding off on releasing, or can't because it's a company deal, or whatever bs excuse they have.
I've been on A.F. for over five years, and in my experience, once a phone falls back two or so generations, pretty much all development goes out the window, root or not. Having been forced to upgrade to ZVB because of Sprint's replacement crap, I'm in the same boat as damn near 90% of the Sprint market.
The only way this phone will ever really work is when someone scores true bootloader access. I've taken this damn thing apart from start to finish, and I just can't get past the bootloader. I've downloaded every image I can find from ZV6 on, done comparison after comparison, hex edit after hex edit, and found nothing that works.

Hat's off to you, bro, for trying though. I really, really hope you make this work, not just for ZVA and under folks, but for us ZVB folks and higher.
Here is a thread explaining how antirollback works https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/how-to/bootloader-qfuses-arb-how-to-brick-t3673622
I'm curious though if you can physically replace the Qualcomm system on chip with one that has an antirollback version of 0 then ground the qfprom lead used to send power to the soc qfprom to blow the qfuses, this way the antirollback qfuses in the new soc won't be blown again as the power won't reach the qfprom area of the soc.
