Brick recovered after failed root. No audio

have the xt1922-9 retail. Factory unlocked. I rooted the device as per a guide here. Afterwards the phone wouldn't boot. Tried recovering through twrp and the backup somehow got deleted. So Ive searched the internet for probably 12 hours trying to find a stock room that would work for this bloody thing. Finally found one that matches xt1922-9 retail. Flashed it. The modem didn't work( no wifi or data) with my SIM for some reason. so I downloaded the vzw version stock rom and flashed only the modem from it. The phones on stock Android 8.0. WiFi and data work properly now. However the phones headset and speaker don't work. Have no idea about microphone. Audio from headphone jack works fine.
Oh and I tried to see if an update would be avail thinking maybe it would fix the issue but it says I'm on the current one. I'd be grateful for any advice.

Sounds like you didn't root right. If you didn't flash the dm verity and forced encryption disabler (the new one) then it's not going to boot because of DM verity. You also should have formatted data before flashing that, so that you could remove current encryption. Your backup probably didn't get deleted, it's probably on your internal storage which TWRP cannot see if your encrypted. you're supposed to make backups to an external SD card.
You have to make sure you flash the modem from the exact firmware that you're currently on. Some people have even had to extract the modem from the RETAIL pie firmware.
you have the retail version you definitely shouldn't be flashing Verizon.

Is your device the retail US version?

RETUS is Jeter, and matches your model number.

Yeah man I followed all the instruction proper. I made sure that I read it first and then followed the instructions to the t bc I didn't wanna be where I am now. Flashed decrypter and formated. I'm not sure sure where it messed up. The backup was on ext sd but after it messed up I restored to it and tried again. I'm guessing I accidentally hit delete backup after restore? IDK. It is the us retail unlocked xt1922_9 version. I found another rom that looks like it matches. I'm gonna give it a try in the morning after work.
The phone is working now somewhat. I have matisk root works properly but Phones calls don't go thru, headset speaker and speakerphone don't work, WiFi and data do work, camera is broken for videos, and my mic only works when doing a voice recording. Doing a call on Facebook has no audio.
