Bricked after installing factory image and switching to slot B, what can i do?

As the title states, I installed the factory image and switched to slot b and now i'm bricked. The phone just hangs on the Razer logo. I have bootloader and critical partitions unlocked; it doesn't even show the warning anymore. It just stays on the Razer logo boot screen and I can't even get into download mode to do fastboot --set-active=a. I've tried running the battery down all the way and initiating download mode by plugging it into the computer while holding down volume down. What other options are available to me? I feel so stupid for turning my phone into a paperweight. And yes, I've done extensive searches online before deciding to post. There isn't really much on the subject and most of the threads are dead.

@zefir738, my cheryl is also in this state. I was in talks with @TheCrazyLex and the single solution to this issue is restoring the device via EDL. You need FIH's MSM8998 programmer and manage to get it into EDL.

Neither me nor Alex have been able to get the phone into EDL.

Good luck, and if you manage to get it to EDL do let everyone know, because I'll personally write a detailed guide on how to recover dead cheryl's, as well as providing all the needed files for the process.

I have some problem, with rp1(locked bootloader, default recovery+no Os) so I cant install any OS without unlock. But cant unlock it without OS too:crying:
I search how to enable EDL mode in russian phone hack forum, and find it: fastboot oem reboot-edl
and my phone switch to EDL mode for programming. But dont know what next...

You may try to teardown the phone. Unplug battery and then plug in the usb cabble. You are in the EDL mode now.
That's what i tried. But i don't know how to revive my raze phone 1.

To get edl its power volup vol down all at the same time with a USB pluged in to pc. Comes up as a Qualcomm 9008. Force a full power off by holding power and volume up for 20 seconds and try again. Would love to help as I currently have a brick

If you plug a cable on both ends, the phone automatically switches on. What do you mean by "[press the three buttons] at the same time with a USB [already?] pluged"?

Just checked again on my device.
From a powered off state
Hold both volume up and down and plug in live usb. Just uploading a video to YouTube

Thanks for your video. However, I notice yours goes from the Razer logo to EDL mode. Mine stays forever on the Razer logo and doesn't go through, this is, after pressing and holding both Volume keys and then plugging in the USB cable to the PC.

Yeah, indeed, in fact that's the only way I have it to power it off. Yet still no luck after doing that, stucks at Razer logo. I've contacted Razer support chat hoping that someone who knows what I was talking about hears me out and sends more detailed info on how to do it when the phone reaches this point where accessing EDL on the usual ways just doesn't work out

Yeah I have asked them just for the flash tool no joy. They wanted me to send it to some jokers in Germany think I will wait for someone to get hold of the edl tool.

Yeah, I know. The flashtool is under NDAs as so is their firehose. But you can just use Sahara tools and FIH's msm8998 mbn, so it's not really an issue on that side.

Also, actually wanted to post a bit of an update here, I got a deep flash cable (those that Xiaomi users get to flash their devices when in locked bootloader and stuff), and I haven't been any luckier with it either. It just stays in the razer boot logo no matter I use a regular cable or a Deep Flash EDL cable, specific for this matter.

Well, thanks Razer for hardening this device so so much, to the border of trashing motherboards whenever a bad flash occurs.
