I am having an issue with Carlinkit 4 cpc200-cp2a after having OTA software update device died (no red or green led)
after following the BIOS flashing instructions from https://github.com/ludwig-v/wireless-carplay-dongle-reverse-engineering
now the device has a constant red LED connecting to the wall brick with no WI-FI or Bluetooth and refuses to accept FW via the offline method, have tried different versions of FW with no luck, any help?

I had the same situation today. I've sent a message to the seller but for the moment there is no reply. I will check the link provided here to see if there is a remedy.

Hi @5826315,
Hi @techo91,

I've a problem with same device on online OTA firmware update, and the offline update firmware works.
What type of firmware put on it? U2AW or U2W?

For my Carlinkit 4.0 / CPC200-CP2A (with red icon on menu) this works: U2AW.

I follow this guide:

My report:
https://github.com/ludwig-v/wireless-carplay-dongle-reverse-engineering/issues/157

I've find also a different firmware version on a FB group here:

If the USB update do not work anymore, have you try to open the case? there is a different interface? but there is no documentation on web.

I have my issue resolved. I’ve contacted the manufacturer and asked for a firmware, they’ve sent one and with it and a USB stick, I was able to update a good firmware.

Hi Guys, guess why I'm here begging for help.......Yep. I've just clicked the OTA update on the CPC200-CP2A, it started to flash green/red, then stopped.

I waited, powered down, waited again, plugged in and nothing. When I connect it to power there's a very feint green light flashes on for a split second....then nothing, no LED, no way to connect to it (via wifi or via PC/USB lead), it just seems to be completely dead.

Any ideas please, I see a few people have managed to bring it back from the dead, but looks like they're using programmer boards etc and I'm afraid this is WAY beyond me. I've got the official firmware on a USB stick as per an online video, but this shows people inserting it when the red light comes on.....and i have nothing happening at all.

Any ideas or tips please?

What does seller suggest when contacted for support?

I'm still waiting on them responding in all honesty. I've sent them my device, serial number etc but no reply as yet. Trouble is I've owned it for over 12 months, so likely they'll say it's out of warranty, so likely to be a self fix or scrap.

Well, as suspected, the seller got in touch to say literally......"no light, it broken", so, unless anyone can suggest anything it looks like it's the bin for this particular device and a new manufacturer to try.
