i have the phone of the above link. i bought this phone I9300 (S3) MTK6577 Android 4.0 OS 3G 4.6 'FWVGA Screen GPS with microsim slot and after i restore to factory defaults i lost imei.I couldnt recover imei and then i tried to flash a new rom with flashtool.Now phone dosn't boot and screen is dead ,only red led is on and the led of buttons.
Maybe something wrong with the preloader and the rom i flashed.What can i do? do you have a new rom to flash with flashtool?Can you send me instructions how to unbrick this phone?Can you send a link of rom to flash and also a flashtool for it?Does anybody have the same phone that can upload the back up of his rom?
i have attached also a photo so you recognise the model of the phone which takes microsim

does it work on mtk6575?

I have the same problem. S3 micro sim clone MTK6589, new firmware tried (chinaecarts.com/s3firmware20130320.rar ), then the phone not booting.
I just contacted with Chinaecarts.com, they tried to solve the problem but not working.
Also tried with the universal firmware, but it sad I've MTK6577 phone, not MTK6575.
If I will have fresh news, will post it.
(seller said, I should send the phone back, and they will fix it.)

Hello. I have a similar problem with yours. A friend of mine has a 100% visual clone (MTK6577) with the same sticker under the battery like in the first post, he tried to flash it, but he messed up something, and then he brought it to me completely DEAD . No charging, no PC connection - nothing... I tried many button combos, and accidentally i found out that if i connect the phone without battery, press and hold VOL+, VOL- & POWER for a few seconds, the PC detected the mediatek com port , installed the drivers without problem, and now the real problems begins - the ROM. I tried all of the roms from chinaecarts but without success, first i couldn't flash the thing, and after downloading several roms from chinaecarts, and finally flashed it and guess what - no LCD :silly: . So i tried combining different files from different roms, and now i'm at a point where i can turn on the phone, screen goes white, but the phone boots, it makes the vibration after the boot process completes, and after that the phone is responding to touches (it vibrates), lock/unlock works, PC detects USB Mass Storage Device, USB Composite Device and MTK65xx Android Phone. I also noticed that in the FW packages i downloaded there are some files that aren't flashed (i think) like for example the kernel.img so i was wondering if i can flash it manually? Please someone help, share some FW links, i can't find anymore...

It is theoretically for the MTK6577 and MTK6589 as well. Got the previous result: "Platform error. The target platform is MT6577_S00."

I think there is a solution for the blank screen problem:
- need a Flash Tool. (on the link above you can find it, or on the link in my previous post)
- need a firmware for MTK6577 micro sim card.

I tried with many sdcard firmware versions, but no effective result.

I bought a used S3, turned out to be a clone. There was a problem with the IMEI, and it got worse as I fiddled with it. Of course not knowing it was a clone...

I ended up using SP Flash with the 6577 9300 650.zip ROM that was listed earlier. Now I have no LED's, no video from screen.

Can someone point me to a ROM that is correct? Or a tool to fix?

During SP Flash it read 6577_s00

I used the SP Flash tool to load this file
ICS.V1_3.120917.FWVGA.4P4_COM_EN

I got a red led light, and the boot sound.

I also have the same problem with the same model. Also have tried the above and got the same error, apparently because it is a version for mtk6575 and ours is mtk6577. In my case my phone has bricked some days later after I rooted the phone (apparently the first time I opened the system browser).

I'm using SP Flash tool and get the same error, any suggestion? Any help will be highly appreciated.

I bought a clone samsung s4 19500 from bangkok last month.I downloaded an uninstaller (uninstall manager) from play store.Maybe by mistake i uninstalled some system file((Android OS,some mediatek file etc) to decrease internet data usage and my phone showed error messages.I quickly reinstalled somee uninstalled system apps using the backup files made by the backup data stored by the uninstaller program.but the error messages stated to increase.i removed my battery and when i opened the s 4 again it only kept on showing the opening message of "SAMSUNG" with some sound.what to do.plz help:crying::crying::crying:
I also did the system restore/factory reset option by using power+vol up key but it did't help.i cleared user data also.What to do now?
I could also not get into download mode
Is there any way

i have the phone of the above link. i bought this phone I9300 (S3) MTK6577 Android 4.0 OS 3G 4.6 'FWVGA Screen GPS with microsim slot and after i restore to factory defaults i lost imei.I couldnt recover imei and then i tried to flash a new rom with flashtool.Now phone dosn't boot and screen is dead ,only red led is on and the led of buttons.
Maybe something wrong with the preloader and the rom i flashed.What can i do? do you have a new rom to flash with flashtool?Can you send me instructions how to unbrick this phone?Can you send a link of rom to flash and also a flashtool for it?Does anybody have the same phone that can upload the back up of his rom?

Problem

Hello. I have a similar problem with yours. A friend of mine has a 100% visual clone (MTK6577) with the same sticker under the battery like in the first post, he tried to flash it, but he messed up something, and then he brought it to me completely DEAD . No charging, no PC connection - nothing... I tried many button combos, and accidentally i found out that if i connect the phone without battery, press and hold VOL+, VOL- & POWER for a few seconds, the PC detected the mediatek com port , installed the drivers without problem, and now the real problems begins - the ROM. I tried all of the roms from chinaecarts but without success, first i couldn't flash the thing, and after downloading several roms from chinaecarts, and finally flashed it and guess what - no LCD :silly: . So i tried combining different files from different roms, and now i'm at a point where i can turn on the phone, screen goes white, but the phone boots, it makes the vibration after the boot process completes, and after that the phone is responding to touches (it vibrates), lock/unlock works, PC detects USB Mass Storage Device, USB Composite Device and MTK65xx Android Phone. I also noticed that in the FW packages i downloaded there are some files that aren't flashed (i think) like for example the kernel.img so i was wondering if i can flash it manually? Please someone help, share some FW links, i can't find anymore...
