Bricked samsung captivate

So i know this is late in the game but, a while back i bricked my phone. I didn't soft brick it, im not to sure if you would call it a "hard" brick. It won't turn on, go to download mode or even charge (well show that it is). At the time i just gave up and moved on but, i've come into a situation where i need to use a better phone than what i have currently. I've gone threw most of the fourms that talked about a compealty bricked phone, they seem to lead to dead ends or get off track half way thru. I have tried hooking it up to my pc but my computer dosen't even notice that its there. I have a jig, and it does nothing (i don't even know the stats of the battery). I don't care if i have to factory set it i just want it on. Any help would be great!!:good:
