Alright so I bricked my dads tablet to some extent, and am trying to fix it. Unlike most bricks i'm not able to enter APX or anything. Just the stock device is unlocked splash screen. I bought a new cord to rule that out and it's still not working, when i push vol + and power it just restarts. Any ideas? after i get to apx i should be fine to get it back.

You should push Pwr & Vol- but not vol+. What have you done, that you bricked your tablet? You mustn't wipe data in Asus bootloader menu. You can wipe data only in Custom Recovery.

Well I had put twrp on and had flashed a rooted stock image. It worked for a couple days and then it got restarted somehow and now wouldn't boot. From what I've heard it's almost impossible to delete the apx partition.

help

I think I have somewhat the same problem. A time ago I unlocked the bootloader of my transformer. Yesterday I wanted to upgrade my tablet with the official firmware of the asus website. I used a manual from theandroidsoul that used cwm and fastboot ( I can'tpost the link here because I am new to this forum sorry). But I completed every step of the manual whit out any problems.
The only different is that I used this firmware WW_epaduser_10_4_2_18UpdateLauncher and not the firmware used in that manual.
It started to upgrade and it automaticly restarted, after that it got stuck on the first sceen whit left in the top bootloader unlocked and asus in the midle of the screen. I can't turn if of, when I press and hold the power button eventually the screen turns black and it turns on again on the same screen. Pressing vol - button doesn't help. I just need to let the battery run out of power and when it is charged again the same problem. can anyone please help me?

In this step

Now, extract the zip file downloaded in step 2 to obtain another .zip file, which is the update file we need to use to update the tablet.*Copy this .zip file to the root of sdcard of internal memory on the tablet.

Do you exact the zip to obtain another .zip ?
Or
Ares you flash directly the zip fromages Asus website ?
