Okay so, my axon recently had display issues and I concluded that the display ribbon was loose because with a bit of pressure it would work just fine.
I disassembled the device, secured the ribbon and voila it was good again.
BUT.
I f***d up my digitizer somehow and the display is way less responsive now, plus the recents and back buttons don't work.
I'll hit the bed now because I'm very tired, any tips or instructions would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks everyone. :)
Hope I can revive my device somehow as I can't afford to buy anything right now. :(

Check every wire/connection. You might have knocked something else loose.

Also has it been two years since you bought the device? It might still be under warranty.

I did just that but no avail.
Also yeah it should be under warranty but the service is really far away that's why I tried doing it myself.
If I send it anyway wouldn't they put it off warranty since I opened it myself?
They can tell, I mean I could tell myself.

Have you tried restarting your phone?
Can you access your phone? Apps etc? Try reversing the nav buttons in settings.
You could try the test mode too?
Enter test mode using phone key pad

I'm guessing you used a heat source for the teardown? Possibility there was too much heat?
I hope you get it sorted.
I did a teardown on a Samsung device and the charge port was never the same after.

Thanks for your input.
I can use the device normally, boot, use apps.
The problem lies with the display.
Touch is less responsive than before, and the multi task and back buttons do not function at all.
Home button works though.
I can not access the test app because I'm running LOS.
Yeah I used a hair drier to remove the speaker grills, this must be the cause right?
Any idea how can I fix this?
Reapply heat and pray?

you have a 2 year warranty on everything for $79 after the 1st year. They just replaced my axon 7 twice - free the 2nd time. And i now have lighted lower buttons.

Oops... you took it apart. Warranty no good. HOWEVER - one of the first issues I had with my Axon... I dropped it face down on cement. Half the screen was dark. Right down the middle. I could shake and smack it to work. I was about to send it in and found some "pixel" repair/testing app, here, I think. Ran it once - BOOM... fixed. I think there might also be one on ZTE. I'll also see if I have a code to run the test. ZTE sent me several sheets of codes to do I DUNNO?

Thank you for your time and feedback.
Gonna search around for the app you mentioned but I strongly think this is a hardware issue.
I'm located in Greece and I know the official site service partner is in Athens so I don't think I'll need to send it to Texas. :)
Thanks for everything so far though.
Gonna do the survey right now.
