I dropped my phone today for the first time which caused the screen to badly crack, it still runs good but obviously i'm not happy. i'm within the 30 day window for verizon, would this apply? Not sure what to do, help would be appreciated.

Told the guy to add insurance and he didn't, his bad for not doing, my
bad for not checking. Considering adding insurance, dealing with a broken screen for 3 weeks or so, then filing a claim.

There are places that replace screens on iphones, this one is very new, but should be available.
Email these people and see if they have it just not up on their site yet.

Also did you break the screen or the digitizer?
Was the phone in a case?
Did it have the screen protector?
This could be useful information for all of us.

Just the glass screen, lcd still perfect, no protector or case. Checking the website now, thank you all very much

EDIT: did not see anything on the site. Thinking of adding insurance tmrw, and getting a screen protector to cover glass so I don't risk cutting myself.

You can just tell them you dropped it. Make sure you get the total equipment protection. Being that the DI is so new you may get a new phone not a refirb. Without INS I still think you fall under the MFG warranty but it won't cover a dropped phone.

It should say somewhere on the website. It is usually a 30 day waiting period to discourage people from doing what you are doing. From what I see, there is a 30 day wait and a $89 deductible.

Ouch is right.
I emailed HTC asking about replacement screens and they have not got back to me.
I know they will be available, but I don't know when.

Lucky you, I have to pay 90 for my deductible. Wonder why there is the difference
