broken CWM recovery . help please .

my recovery stopped working all of the sudden ,, i've been running 6.0.1.0 just fine since 3 days ago...when i notticed all my backups are 16- 17 mb...and when i try restoring them i get "unable to restore system "... but the backup itself lasts as usual and no error occurs during it . do you know a fix ?
i tried flashing again the recovery image and zip but noo luck ..

Hello,
Did you happen to rename any of your backup files?
Also where did you obtain your image? Did you flash through ROM Manager?

I have flash able zips from topics here and the image from clockwork site through fastboot

reflash CWM in fastboot mode
in the worst case reflash the factory firmware 2.3.4 via odin in download mode

I did all that thank you.. but didn't solve my problem. On 5 8.0.2 the jb backups are like 700 mb but in 6.0.1 0 all are like 16 mb... i have i9023. But the latest recovery worked fine ... i don't know what the problem is .
The system does'nt backup.
