I have one of these, but it's the newer model ME572C. Has anyone found a digitizer part for it? Mine's busted and I'd like to replace it. Seems such a shame that everything works fine, but the digitizer is broken.
Have you ever tried screen for Nexus 7 2013 edition which are identificial ?I have one of these, but it's the newer model ME572C. Has anyone found a digitizer part for it? Mine's busted and I'd like to replace it. Seems such a shame that everything works fine, but the digitizer is broken.
Thanks for the info! I happen to have a Nexus 7 2013 and see the similarities. I took apart the memo and see the digitizer/LCD assembly part number is indeed the same as the nexus 7 2013.Have you ever tried screen for Nexus 7 2013 edition which are identical ?
May you tell me how to disassemble memo pad? I plan to do it later in case the battery stops working and I suspect the battery is same as Nexus 7.Thanks for the info! I had fleeting thoughts of just taking my working Nexus 7 and do a main board swap to get the better silicon. Most of the screw holes line up, but there are enough differences it won't exactly work.
Oh well. I'll still try to get a replacement digitizer/LCD and get it working again.
Yes, the battery looks identical. Same connector.May you tell me how to disassemble memo pad? I plan to do it later in case the battery stops working and I suspect the battery is same as Nexus 7.
Just a follow up that I bought a 2013 Nexus 7 replacement digitizer and screen from http://www.fixez.com/ and the tablet is good as new. Just take the old glass removal slow and steady with the heat gun (while wearing safety glasses to prevent the eventual shattering of glass getting into eyes).
Thanks for the tip about the identical screens.
Now I'm looking forward to getting lollipop on the tablet once ASUS resolves their bugs with the previously released code.
