So I just dropped my phone, and the screen cracked and spider webbed (not THAT bad). Can still use it, in fact I'm using it right now.

My question here though is that I have insurance and was thinking of just saying I lost it and having them ban the MEID or whatever, and having a extra inc to do the more risky stuff and WiFi use. Good idea or no?

Also if I do that would it be worth it to fix the screen?

Edit: should point out it is the actual screen, the glass in front of it I'm referring to.

I know where you are coming from, but that amounts to fraud, and you will find little help here. Your best coarse of action is to be honest, and thank Jebus your insured.

When filing a claim the insurance company "owns" your lost or stolen phone if it ever shows up. You also probably need to file a police report for stolen/lost phones. You might get in a sticky situation here, up to and including criminal charges if you are caught.
