Broken screen

Hi all, I broke my phone's screen. I keep hearing that this model's screen is different and I need this exact model to replace it. Is that true? I looked around and what they sell is a s6 Edge plus screen with no extra details. Would any screen work? I want to change the whole screen assembly since the broken glass is touching the screen. Thanks
