Sound Fluctuation Problem not solved in this rom

my Magnus a117 have the same exact Problem with the speaker fluctuation. Flashed this rom and still not hope.. Other than diz rom rocks hats of to porting diz rom. Sound fluctuation solving developments are always appriciated.

I want to try this ROM on my A116 but I see two different links, one started on 11th Jan and another on 16th Jan. Is this same or different? Which one should I try?
Also, can this be tried on Xolo 1100?

More apps installed than the previous rom n internal storage still 300mb left

Open gravity box - statusbar tweaks - navigation drawer style - navigation drawer background - colour fill - black.
And change the transparency to 0.

I flashed this Rom 10 days back ...every thing working fine but 1 issue faced.
when ever play video with .mkv or .avi with video player audio is not working .
i am using other video player but video quality is not good compare to original video player.
can you help to enable audio for original video player.

Rebooting Problem

When i try accessing contacts or People the phone reboots sometimes. Has anyone here experienced the same problem? Also sometimes the phone strangely slows down and only recovers after a reboot. Will flashing the Kernel with the latest stock rom v4 help?

There is a solution for increasing incoming call volume for this phone. I myself was facing call and music volume issue. I managed to solve it by below steps.

Below are the steps to do it (Do it on ur own risk).

1. Download MTK engineer mode application from google playstore
2. Open MTK engineer mode app. Scroll right till u get "hardware testing" --> Audio
3. Open "Normal mode". Set Max Vol 0~160 = 160
- From "type" select sph and configure below values for levels
level 0=100
level 1=110
level 2=120
level 3=130
level 4=140
level 5=150
level 6=158

- Again, from "type" select "sph2" and configure below values for levels
level 0=100
level 1=110
level 2=120
level 3=130
level 4=140
level 5=150
level 6=158
Again, from "type" select "Mic" and configure below values for levels
level 0=255
level 1=255
level 2=255
level 3=255
level 4=255
level 5=255
level 6=255

4. Hit back--> go to "headset mode" and repeat the exact same steps as mentioned above for this mode as well
5. hit back--> go to "Loudspeaker mode" and repeat the exact same steps as mentioned above for this mode as well.
6. Exit the engineering mode app.
7. Go to call button and press the options button. You will see a popup to go in call settings menu
8. Go in call settings --> other settings. Uncheck "noise reduction"
9. exit everything and reboot the phone.

After reboot, u will feel the difference in call volume, quality and notice that music fluctuation is gone

Great work bro.. Using it for 10 days and no glitch found till date.
I just have a small issue , as i am using dual sim ,is there anyway to find out the Sim in which message is received . There's no visible mark to identify which message came in which sim.
And while receiving incoming call there is also no sign to identify the sim in which call is coming.
It would be really helpful.

You have to wipe dalvik cache before flashing.

I flash iton magnus a 117 but there is no setting so unable to load any app

this ROM is not very good, oh yes it only gives you a look of Samsung galaxy s5 but its not smooth, it is very slow, takes too much time in opening of apps and wifi. Google play store,google play services, protonmail, gmail,chrome, gallery and many other apps force closes. Buggy Rom. it has made my phone like a tortoise, battery backup not good. GO FOR XLDROM

Sir I have cleared data cache/factory reset and wiped cache partition, but I am not getting advance option in recovery mode for dalvik cache
I have also carried factory reset can I go for installing colossus s5 ROM or something else to do.

You must have installed cwm recovery. To clean dalvik cache, from main menu got advance option which might be at the end of menu. then you will see the option to clear dalvik cache.

Yes u can install any custom ROM now. no other steps needed.

cant play videos

Amazing rom, fast and beautiful but it wont play videos just like the XLD ROM before. Maybe its something stupit i did, but i tried what i could find. I wiped dalvik cache, fixed permissions via ROM Manager, deleted and re-installed the rom. Still the same problem. If there's any solution for this that someone here knows, please tell me! Its an amazing rom, dont wanna change it...

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ):

1. Why the icon GS5LockScreenService forcecloses?

Answer --- That is not a bug. Its service icon and not required or does not do anything. Do not disable it just ignore it. You can hide that icon from application list. Just ignore or hide that icon (You can hide icons).


2. How to enable air command?

- Hold capacitive menu button



3. How to use multi window?

- Drag 2 apps from sidebar to home screen



4. How to hide/show sidebar?

- Long press back key button for 2-3 seconds



5. How to install OTA update(s) after downloading?

- Uncheck wipe data and wipe cache before installing OTA update(s).



6. Why Unfortunately, SystemUI has stopped?

- If you have facebook messenger installed, just drag the chat head(s) down to close it. Then reopen facebook messenger in app drawer to restore System UI back to normal.

- Another workaround is to install Xposed Installer/Framework and Gravity Box [JB] then activate it in Xposed Installer modules then reboot. Open Gravity Box and select Navigation keys actions and set Home key Long-press action to Show recent apps.

- It is also recommended to install Xposed and GravityBox or other modules in Internal Memory for proper functioning. Read next question about Xposed/GravityBox.

- Branded Android devices from known companies like HTC, SAMSUNG, SONY, etc. also encounter this problem when facebook messenger is installed.

- One more user 'genesisalgor' suggested this method to get rid of this issue. Click here. You may simply try this.

- If you have facebook messenger installed, drag down chat head(s) to close it then reopen messenger application shortcut to restore System UI back to normal. (Do this if you encounter similar issue with other messenger applications like Viber, Skype, etc...)

- Freezing Facebook messenger will also solve this issue.

- Just found out that even the original HDC Galaxy Note 3 clone which is the source of this ROM also experience this issue.

7. Why Led indicator (sms/call notifications at top) is not working for incoming missed-call or missed-sms?

- Open Light Manager (included in rom) and change LED color to "Green" for CALLS and SMS and also run Test to check color. LEDs of A116 can show only two colors, Green and Red, so do not change to any other color, else LED LIGHTS will not work.


8. FONTS option in settings does Force Closes. What to do?

- The Fonts option in settings is related to iFont App. Just install from playstore and it will work. You may also need to restart phone and clear Dalvik Cache. It was tested ok but missed in this first build upload.


9- Xposed / Gravity Box not working?

A- Xposed works perfect in all roms made by me. But make sure that Xposed Installer and all its modules are installed in Internal memory and not sd card.
____1) Run App Manager and Move "Xposed Installler" and "Graviti Box" or all other modules to Internal Memory.
____2) Run Xposed and in Frameworks again Run "INSTALL/UPDATE" and reboot.
____3) Now just UNCHECK Gravity Box and RE-CHECK Gravity Box and again reboot.
This works perfect on this rom too and is tested ok, though I have not installed modules other than GravityBox.
This method works on other roms too.

10 - I can's see or setup Live Wallpaper. Why?

A - For some strange reason it was excluded from the rom, but as some people may still want it, here is the patch only for Colossus Rom on any ported model


11 - How to enable or disable sidebar and run two apps in MultiWindow?

A - To get familiar with sidebar watch this video

12 - Why phone eats too much of RAM?

A - Rem Zej's Tip of this: After playing heavy games or using heavy apps, just put your phone into sleep for 5s to kill all background cached processes then wake it up again to have a fresh and clean memory system no need to restart your phone. Reference

13 - My GPS is not connecting in India/out of India. What to do?

14) Should I try any other modified kernel?

Answer: This rom is Optimized to extreme level to give you best performance. This smartly tweaked rom comes with Stock kernel which have confirmed advantage of No Bugs, Reliability, Good Battery Backup and Superb Power performance. It is advised that you try this rom with included stock kernel for few days and then if you are not satisfied, you are free to flash any kernel you want. Custom kernel can be flashed but results are not always as expected. If you face any issues on other kernel, I cannot help you and you should contact kernel developer for further help.

EDIT: Just to add, heavy games like Asphalt8 and NOVA3 runs like butter. And most of the gamers are getting more than 5 hours of game time in single charge which is unbelievable but true. I am not gamer, but other gamers have confirmed it.
