Is there a fix for SAF on microSd cards? Google mentioned a partial bypass option in Android 12, but said Android 11 phones are SOL with a frozen older kernel. Samsung and some other phones have their own bypass. MicroSd is totally broken for all recently updated apps on Xperia 1 III running Android 11.

(Apps released in Play Store after Nov 2021 must use SAF for microSd. There's a 10x to 10000x performance penalty and no more access outside of scoped storage. The card essentially doesn't work anymore unless you use apps from other stores.)

I found this bug in both the Hong Kong version and the Russian version.
If you have rooted your phone, you can try Pixelated Launcher.
Although this Launcher still has some bugs, such as the disappearance of desktop icons, the widgets can be used normally.

I'm using Always + 80% as my Battery Care setting. When (wireless) charging, if the current battery level is above 80%, it doesn't charge any more, which is correct; however if it's below 80%, it charges until full. Anyone's got the same issue after upgrading to Android 12? I'm using 1 III HK.

nah.... that's a bit to general. I used OTAs from different vendors, especially OnePlus for the last years without any kind of wipeing or resets and it worked flawlessly. Getting even less "bugs" then people claiming to do always a reset and stuff. Even with major updates. During the last years there have been a lot of changes under the hood of android which make this process more stable then before.
Usually it takes at least one or two minor updates to get everything back to normal. The "sad" thing here is, that Sonys reputation for pushing fixes in an irregular manner aren't as good as with others. You can see that even googel with a lot more ressources in development struggels at the moment with the overall quality of software. Not just android but also some of the apps are faceing quiet some trouble.

Sometimes the "taskmanager" stops working on my phone. So i can't change between apps, just go back to home screen. After restart, problem solved for 1-2 days.

There are some problems with Android 12. I can add widgets only stock Xperia Home Launcher. If I select 3rd Party Launchers and add a widget gives error. Please check the video....
