just finished updating, seems to run smoother no big noticeable changes, I'm currently looking for a Root for this without unlocking and loosing warranty so i can pair a dualshock 3 to it.

My TF300T typically goes about one day after a cold start before it starts to experience random reboots (usually within 5 minutes of coming out of sleep with wifi on). I'm anxious to see if this update eliminates this problem, will try it out tonight.
Try wiping your system and re-installing the rom, maybe try an entirely new rom?

Wait till its posted on the Asus site and use that. It doesn't reset data, just the system partition. U have to reinstall recovery after this, and flash root again, but that doesn't take much effort.

I just now saw that its on the site so I updated.

Put the zip that's inside the zip on to the root of internal storage
Rebooted to recovery
Flashed the .18 zip
Once done and rebooted, booted into the bootloader, and went into fastboot mode
Flashed twrp 2.3.1.0 recovery back in
Rebooted into recovery
Flashed in superuser zip I had already placed in root of internal storage, then rebooted normally
launched previously installed supersu, updated su file
Reengaged adaway since hosts file was written over with initial update
all is well. So far I noticed a tad more zippy behavior, and previous apps seem to work without crashing.

You shouldn't need to be rooted to use the Sony PS3 dualshock 3 with this tablet. You do however need to hook it up via the USB cable first. (requires keyboard dock or Asus USB adapter) Basically plug it in, press the PS3 button to turn on the controller, use the controller in a game while connected (about 5 mins should do), turn the Bluetooth on for your tablet. Disconnect the USB cable from the controller. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your tablet and wait for the controller to be listed then pair and connect. (took mine about 10 mins before it saw the controller) good luck

A few things I've noticed about .18 build. It's smoother, as mentioned above and the standby battery life is friggin amazing.. I had mine in standby for 12 hours and it only drained 1% :)
It is a lottttt smoother and i dont think this is a placebo! 12 hours
with 1% is amazing, are you stock? You have to have disconnect network surely to have results this good?

Do you notice random reboots ?
No random reboots for me no

Before the update, with the lapdock and while in the Youtube app, if you typed a search with the physical keyboard on the homepage it worked but if you weren't on the homepage of the app and typed, nothing happened. The update fixed it.

I too thought it was smoother after the update. More responsive to touch input and smoother animations. I thought it was a placebo but seeing your reports convinced me. And it's still android 4.1.1. (I am wondering if 4.2 is supposed to be even faster)

Kudos to ASUS for the continued support. Great work guys.
