The update failed for me and I'm not even rooted

Edit: worked after rebooting my tablet

Is there a changelog? I personally don't find it much smoother from a quick play around. Could change though

Edit: It does definitely seem smoother in some areas although my tablet is getting worse Antutu benchmark results. Only got to about 10fps in one of the things in the test

I received the update last night (Canada). Installed fine and used it for a few hours after. I did not come across any issues.

I had thought it was running smoother, but I can't really tell if it was just me looking at it too closely.

FYI, my tablet is bone stock. Never unlocked or rooted.

I found the last update improved performance a bit, I feel like this latest one has added that final polish. The battery life though? Wow, I am very impressed. The battery is lasting so much longer now compared to how it used to.

Just applied the update but I find the official Facebook app is sucking Alot more than usual. Unable to connect, load pictures and painfully slow to load when it dose connect.

I'm trying the Friendcaster and that seems too work better

I think your experience, including the move to friendcaster is true with or without the update.

can you guys please be more specific about the "better" battery life? how's better?

i'm still on ICS .30 have root, i figured out that i will lose root if i update (i don't want to unlock bootloader), but i'm willing to update and lose root if battery life is better (plus jelly bean features)

I've not been tracking proper stats so I can't really quantify it. I used to switch between always having wifi on to having it only on when charging. With the former, I would maybe get through a day to a a and a half when I would need to charge as I was dangerously low. A good example being I would lose about 11% just on standby overnight. Now I lose about 6%. So to me the battery performance feels like its the way it used to be when I chose to have the wifi turn off during sleep.

You won't lose root if you use ota rootkeeper to backup and restore root.

Hey guys,

Do you recommend me to upgrade to this build ? I'm currently under ICS, and it's very stable and smooth, so what do you think?
Thanks

Oh and yes, does this build make reboots if we always have microSD in the tab ?

Installed the update last night and it definitely feels smoother. Browser performance is much improved. I can't comment on battery life yet, but my tablet was getting incredible battery life already.

My random reboots so gone (so far)

I would typically experience 3 to 4 reboots a day with previous OTA update. I tried cm10 and several other roms, same problem with rebooting usually after deep sleep wakeup. I was really close to doing an RMA with Asus and plead a hardware issue. Installed this 10.4.2.18 and bang, over 3 days of uneventful reboot-free operation (monitored with Reboot Logger from market). I've cautiously restored more and more of my titanium backed up apps and still no reboots. I do have a Asus keyboard and usually could cause a reboot just by docking it. So far with this update it works like it is supposed to, no reboots.
Very happy camper so far.

Happy happy joy joy

I have not had a random reboot NOR issues with wifi not workgin after turnign on from a long sleep since this update. I was plaugued by both and beginning to be convinced that it was a hardware issue, but alas it may now be fixed!

I'm stock all the way, use mostly as a household netbook type of device...

for some reason no one has been able to update the second time if you fail the first time, so your solution is update manually
