Maybe share the ROM file, then we can try finding some way to remove forced payment/crack it (No paid ROMs allowed in XDA forums) and maybe possibly clean it somewhat (Does it even have english as an option?) and we'll finally get ourselves a finally working alternative custom ROM.

Is the Alipay access like online DRM or how does it work?

You can freely use it for 30 minutes after that the phone will format itself and boot into bootloader unless you activate the phone. After you boot up the phone the timing starts and an apk will pop up and ask you to donate. After you donate (about 3 dollars) then you can activate the phone and use it forever even with the new update. You can choose to exit the apk and not to donate. Then you can use it for 30 minutes. It is useless to uninstall this donation apk, without it you cannot active the phone. The program used to format the phone without activation after 30 minutes is integrated into the OS and without source code it is almost impossible to get rid of it.

The activation is unique to each phone so if you share data it will not work.

It should be possible to bypass that. Might be really easy or very hard, depending on how it was implemented. No special skill are required (except, maybe, basic C/C++ and Java knowledge), just time.

Could we possibly gain root fast and tinker/look around shiz? Possibly see how the activation works and how we could possibly remove/bypass it or the 30 minute timer?

Already try to offer hem 50 euros deal to release its here on forum but decline. Because then everbody can get it for free. Hes updating rom and sel already more then 3000 times thats why he wont sell it easy. If someone can crack this rom bypass it then its good news

Yeah, that'd be awesome. I myself unfortunately don't have the phone, I thought about buying it at some point but ultimately decided against it (Because I don't really think I need all that powerful SoC to pay extra for) but still I feel like it is (obviously) the best value SD8G2 phone out there there and the fact that you can't install a custom ROM on it to avoid the chinese software bundled with it and have overall freedom is a shame, that's why I'd really want that to change at least with this ROM.

I did gain root and look at the data saved by the apks but I could not find where is the data saved by the activation within the 30 minutes allowed. If I try to do that many times I might be able to find it but I do not want to spend that much time without knowing for sure I am on the right track.

By the way, once you have root after that you will keep the root even after the rom terminates after 30 minutes. The next time you boot up, the root is still there.

You do not have to change to CN rom. I am from the global rom, I just extract the file, click on the bat file to install. I then wipe the data using both option then it boots.

I just have 30 minutes to try the Miui rom so I do not know if it is good for daily use. You need to install Google play store, just the apk, and it works (I can download apks from playstore). It seems that this rom has all the functions of a regular Xiaomi phone with Miui rom. You can sign in to your Miui account but the restore function from cloud did not work.
