Yes exposed is working (the unofficial version) you also have to use sdk 24.
Xposed is not fully functional yet as it is still experimental. While the latest version works for the most part. it will trip safteynet instantly which is why im waiting.

I'm working in device tree , please do not send me a pm asking for a rom. I'll let you all know when it is done.

Thanks for the update! Man I didnt realize how time consuming this is. Wish i could help somehow!! Speaking of which, could you direct me to a couple sources on learning how to do this? And I say "this" bc Im not even sure all the steps involved or anything on building your own ROM, or if that's even technically what you're doing?!?! LOL. I would even consider donating a few more bucks if you would take screenshots as you progress and maybe a brief description of how you did each step. Of course that could all be done well after you're finished getting the ROM done and just as you want it. Sounded like a few other people might be interested in that as well, of course cant speak for them and if they would donate.. Just food for thought as you're going along. No expectations either way and will still donate as I said before regardless!!! But feel free to PM if you would like to discuss that in more detail, or however you want.

Thanks for your time

It's a lot more than just building a rom. I'm building the whole device tree. This phone isn't supported. I do have some help from some lineageOS devs , it is just gonna take so time.

Figured it was alot more than just building a rom (and not like thats easy either im sure), sometimes Im a little smarter than I know I am. :)

Ok, cool. Well my offer still stands. Even just screenshots and a sentence or 2 for each step would be fine.

Also really interested in anywhere you can point me to start learning this stuff! If you were learning it for the first time where would you start?!?!?!?! Or how did you start? Not sure of your background besides this, but Ive been in IT for about 15 years, and could install and build a Linux server doing almost anything you want in an hour or two. I say this bc even though we all know android runs on a form of linux, theres enough differences that it doesnt help that much. In fact almost harder bc some assumptions and things Im used to seeing or doing dont apply here. But I know I can pick all of this up fast if Im pointed in the right direction.

Having hard time
Yup , doesn't seem like I can get it to boot and I'm getting burned out trying to , and staying up every night until 12 / 1 am I have to get up at 5am for work. Vendor files , kernel source , and device tree in on my git if anyone else has time. I'm over it. [emoji111]️

Understandable but appreciate the effort man!! As u said hopefully someone else can take over where you left off, might be me in a month or two if no one else has by then.. One question, is it in your opinion doable with what we have available now, or what is the missing piece if not?

Again thanks bro!!

I saw this post over on the right and couldnt resist, and was gonna PM but worried might wake you or something, but...

Hey, is the ROM ready yet!!?? Could you at least post a download link or something?!?! :D

Seriously, I know you were doing it for yourself as well but at least you tried when no one else was or could. Ive always wanted to learn this ****, I know linux and some programming (got an associates in CS) so hopefully this is within my abilities, to learn how anyways. So when Im done moving and some other crap I gotta get done, I WILL get us a ROM, if its at least humanly possible. Your efforts will not go to waste!

Have you looked at the LG K10s files? It has similar hardware. Maybe contact the dev for help. He created the K10s repo from scratch.
So , bq I used for a base is almost the exact same Hardware. The board is msm8937 but the device is msm8917. I have no issues building , but it only boots to the LG screen. I could try using a caf kernel msm 3.18 , but I don't have the time to work it out right now. I'll probably keep working on on the weekends , but I'm not promising anything. It took me almost 3 months to bring up the zmax to 7.1. all I can say if just don't bug me about an OTA and look on g+ for any progress. I might get a ban from XDA soon , bc I went off on a guy in the g3 thread. Lol

Yea I had the LG Volt 2 which also has similar hardware (MSM8916). I used his repo to get a build for that phone but had secure booting issues. Tried to unlock the aboot and ended up bricking my device.

I saw your post about snapping on that guy lol. I dont think they will do anything since it was in pms. Good luck on it. I still have my Volt 2 repo so it prob wouldnt take much to mod it for the K20. I might sync with your repo and see what I can do but I only know alittle so it might not be any help.

So you're bootloader wasn't unlocked? I would wait a few days also, I have some changes I need to push

No the Volt 2 like the K10 has a locked aboot. I havent rooted my K20 yet as I dont want to loss my data and havent gotten around to backing it up yet.
I'm going to try this tonight. I almost there. Once I get boot and can get a log , I can fix everything else.

Nice messi too op :) Guess I need to get around to backing up my data.

Its weird that LG is still using the Snapdragon 400 series in their midrange devices when its over 2 years old. Samsung uses the 600 series in the same price range.

I mean I want roms just as much as y'all. Once the tree is good , I can also upstream the kernel and bring it up Oreo
