I rooted my G3 with stump when it first went public. I typed the first two commands in android terminal and they work.

Edit : Could i be mistaken and this is all one command su
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery
dd if=/sdcard/twrp-2.8.0.0_ls990-signed.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/recovery ?
3 separate commands

hmm weird.

no thats two commands.

its 4 commands total.. or if using terminal emulator.. u skip the first adb command.

or use flashify to flash it :X
If i used flashify won't i still need to run the commands?

Edit:Flashify worked

FYI
I had troubles rebooting into recovery.... so i went back to adb and did adb reboot recovery and booted into TWRP just fine.

Doing through ADB means you dont have to risk that.
I'm saying that the key combination to get into recovery is what the stock recovery would use to trigger full wipe and reset. You already have TWRP, so this doesn't apply in your situation. The warning that was asked about was in reference to using that key combo without TWRP installed

And that's all you did? Once it flashes you were able to boot into TWRP? Sorry just a little nervous about all this..been waiting for this for awhile now and just want to have all angles covered.
I opend the app, chose recovery image, used the file from OP (not pre listed TWRP), let it installed then rebooted when promoted. Now i can boot right into recovery just by holding volume down and power without the reset message.

I used flashify and it got me to the TWRP recovery, Ran a nandroid backup and booted to my original screen. So I know everything is working fine, Problem is I cant seem to boot into the bootloader. im holding the volume down and power button as shown in the video but just not getting there.

correction:

Now I can get into the recovery, but only when going through the flashify app and selecting boot into recovery. Is this the only way?
