Possible to remap button to Hotspot control on s8 with broken screen?

I have an S8 with limited touch response due to a broken screen, I use it as a hot spot for wifi calling and service on my secondary non activated phone. It's a pain in the ass to half blindly navigate the shattered touchscreen which has limited response due to damage. I'm wondering if any of you might be able to guide me on what if anything I would need to do in order to assign a soft key to the Hotspot function. I'm not a complete noob, so I can handle any rooting, adb commands, sideloading etc it might require to make it happen. I'm just hoping maybe one of you highly skilled badasses might know the process already and save me a ton of searching for possible avenues my limited knowledge can theorize may exist in the ether.
?? Any help is greatly appreciated. The amount of innovation I find in this community never ceases to amaze me. Massive respect and gratitude to all of you tech wizards and innovators! ??

How do I enable the simulate keycodes option on an Android TV device? When I try to do the default
Code:
adb shell sh /data/data/flar2.homebutton/keycode.sh
I get no such file or directory.
I checked my /data/ folder and there's no flar2.homebutton app listed.

I used a file manager to find where the app is installed and it says
Code:
/mnt/expand/2e182341-bf91-472b-b38b-ed3cf2ab6d07/app/flar2.homebutton-q2RSc-BUjITj54b6S2xhnw==/base.apk
What would be the exact command I would need to get the keycode.sh file copied over?
I tried
Code:
 adb shell sh /mnt/expand/2e182341-bf91-472b-b38b-ed3cf2ab6d07/app/flar2.homebutton-q2RSc-BUjITj54b6S2xhnw==/keycode.sh
but still no such file or directory again.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong and how to fix it? Thank you.

I don't know. What device is it and what version of Android?

That's pretty vague, can you be more specific?
the button does no longer activate. reinstalled the application, did the config via the PC again but it doesn't work anymore.
Then I tried with the bxActions and that worked with their new update. But I paid for button mapper so do not want to pay for bxActions. I guess it just needs an Android 11 update.

Button Mapper is now updated to work with One UI 3
