Buying a Motorola Atrix car dock but i also need a..

Hi Ive just bought a car.

After much deliberation I have decided against the FM transmitter route (Im in the UK and from what I read, the FM transmitter is not great).. So I have decided to go with Moto Car dock. It seems like a good product.

However what would make it excellent for me would be to control the music from my steering wheel ( Its an old car )
and play it through the cars audio system.

So what I am wondering is such a product that will connect to my steering wheel like above product but connect to my phone and let me pause, play, skip tracks etc...

I don't believe so, but you could always fasten the remote that comes with the dock to your steering wheel....

Is that a wireless remote? otherwise probably wouldnt be much safe!

Sorry I havent actually purchased the dock yet so dont know what the remote looks like!

Car dock doesn't come with a remote. I had a Blaupunkt some time ago with a steering wheel mounted bluetooth remote. Worked nicely. I would suggest going to a car audio installer and see if they have anything you can test in store. Might be possible, but I'm thinking not.

Alternative........duct tape phone and dock to steering wheel.

I've had the car dock for a few months now and I can't recomend it enough.
The kit contains a LONG usb docking/charging cable with a special audio 3.5mm connector, this is used to connect into the auxillary audio of your cd player/radio (if it has one) and as such will play through your car system.
I don't have any experience of the bluetooth kit though so, as has been suggested... it might be an idea to go get yourself some advice on setting that up.
