Buying original Note 7 (first batch)

Hi xda peeps,

I just like to ask if it’s worth it buying a Note 7 that was part of the batch with battey issues? They’re selling it for roughly $175. The issue seller has indicated is that the serial number randomly shows on both sides of the screen (see attachment).

And if ever I purchase this unit, what step can I take (rooting or downgrading) to remove the limits Samsung implemented on their updates? (I’m assuming the unit was updated so the serial number started popping up, and maybe has a white battery)

I just blurred out the serial numbers for privacy.

Pretty sure that's a prototype though, if numbers appear on the screen

For that price, is it worth it? And would there be any workarounds to get rid of the occassional serial numbers popping up? I appreciate your reply.
