IF the phone know bypass charging feature, does it mean when the phone reach the max charging limit, is it activating automatically, or not and phone just recharge again after dropping some percent?

I checked the Game Launcher - Game Booster and I dont have this option (S23U EU).

I have the s23 ultra (UK) and it's not here too

Bypass charge being on s22 was one of the reasons I decided to upgrade to s23 from s21 and not wait to see if the new ROG would be any good, certainly expected to see it on s23 if it's on an older model

For those who don't see the option, try plugging in a PD charger and running a game, then see the settings. Initially, the option wasn't present on my S22U either.

Do we need a 45w or 25w charger at minimum?
It looks like my old Xiaomi charger support up to 33w but not PD.. My S23 only recognizes it as a fast charger (max. 15w) and therefore the option is not available ...

If it works with 25w on S23, too then I will probably get a new charger.

It changes from grayed out to active on people's s22's as far as I know.

The option isn't grayed out on the s23 ultra, it's just not there, my 45w pd charger makes no difference.

In my s23 base, plug charger 25w ... and work fine

probably this feature is only for some users on a/b testing, so for us that we had not this feature probably will wait for a next updates. Can someone with that feature on to say what versions of Game Launcher, Game Booster and Game Optimization Service are installed ?

... and importantly which device type they have and their CSC...

I have UK version of S23U and I have this feature, you have to be using a Power delivery charger for this option to show up. While plugged in, load a game then go into Game booster, it should show.

I try this yesterday with PD and game but again nothing shown. Probably you already had it as gray out feature and then it's enabled when PD is connected, but when is completely not in settings i think is a based on region testing or model version. Which PD you use 25W or 45W ?

Mine initially didn't have that option, was missing, then plugging in PD charger it suddenly shows.

I can confirm this as well. The option was completely hidden on my s23 ultra. Was charging with a generic charger compatible with super fast charging but I still wasn't seeing the option.

I then took my genuine Samsung charger and plugged the phone in it, opened game launcher from outside a game, went to settings, option was still hidden (not grayed out, completely hidden).

Then I closed the game launcher, started a game and opened it from within the game and oh miracle! The option appeared and I was able to turn it on!

Haven't tested it further as I have to run some errands but will do more tests and also update the original post once I have a few minutes.

(using Canadian version of the phone but at this point I don't think it matters. What matters is using a compatible PD charger, not just some random fast charger)

Any chance that this Bypass Option will be unlocked / hacked so it can be used overall using the phone instead of being just limited to games only?
    Hopefully

I feel the need to point out it's not a wise idea to flash random Magisk modules posted by random people with no GitHub or some other legitimate auditable source of the original module, especially someone with 6 posts on this site...

You don't need a source to inspect it. It's a pretty straightforward module and does nothing malicious.

You can inspect the module yourself, it's not encrypted.

I wasn't saying that it was malicious, I was just saying in general. I would (and have) post a warning on any thread where a module is dropped with no original source by someone new to the site.

***** option is invisible by default, which doesn't mean your phone is not compatible *****

Edit: You need a proper compatible PD charger ***that supports PPS*** to make this option appear. I had to plug my phone with my genuine Samsung charger for the option to finally appear. Also, I had to access the settings option **from within** a game for it to appear. Accessing the game boosters settings while outside a game, even with the Samsung charger, didn't make the option appear. Once it appears though, you'll see it all the time going forward.

Edit #2: one way to confirm you have a proper charger, plug your phone and then go to settings, device care, battery. It should indicate that a super fast charger is connected (if it says fast charger, it doesn't support PPS and probably won't work with this) (and if it says "charger" then you really need to get yourself a new charger anyway 😂)

Edit #3: Make sure that the fast charging option is enabled (in settings, battery, battery settings)

Found this and thought others might be interested. The option is found in the game booster options and allows you to power your phone using the power cable without charging the battery. This way you can play while saving your battery life and also generating less heat.

Just verified this on my S22 Ultra, and it is present. The options is enabled once you connect your charger and is greyed out once you remove it.
If device is idle, then charging works as usual but once you start playing a game, the charging is paused. This is cool feature, wish it worked while using Samsung Dex as well.

To have the bypass-feature switchable by a quicksettings-toggle, no matter which app is used, would be perfect. Would make the option in gamebooster obsolete and could be useful for many situations so safe the battery. Maybe it comes in future updates if the resonance from the gamers is good. Fingers crossed.

Phones have needed this for years. Like people could use this when tethering too to avoid the excess heat generation as well. I really don't understand why the phone manufacturers are just now figuring this out. One of my old phones would power on without a battery in it even (I don't remember which one, Nokia maybe?)

I have a power display cable and it drops to 2W on some games, when I close the game it jumps to 20-30W so it's definately working! (y)(y)(y)
