You have to do a clean wipe, i did this too :(
there has got to be a way to reset that :/

surely someone with a clean OS without the bug could make a backup, then add a bunch more fingers, make another backup and find what files have changed. this is XDA, surely someone can find a fix.

Are you on lollipop? May be I need to check if they have change location of file on lollipop.
I have tested When created and finger print was able to reset

Nah, they probably didn't. Your mod works with lollipop as well.
I believe he has restored a nandroid backup with fingerprint on and that's why the whole service now doesn't work.

Your mod indeed bypasses security and we can actually use our phone (thank you!). But, if you restore with fingerprint on as I already said, even after flashing your mod, you'll be ableto bypass the locking screen but fingerprints won't be recognised and the whole service is sadly pretty much unusable.. the only way to have it working again is by a factory reset.

Backup password won't work either, it'll say wrong all the time.

Edit: Just checked your last response and you're aware of that so.. ignore my post. :)

I think one thing can be a culprit.
Check do you have mcRegistry folder in system/app folder? I mean after Restoring nandroid

yes, with one .tlbin file in there - that file was supposedly created on 01/08/2008 as well, seems a little odd.

I think there should be many files. Check stock rom and just flash missing files. Nandroid may fail to restore properly.

bleh, sounds like a pain in the butt XD

next time i flash a rom i'll check that folder - probably when loolipoop finally comes out for us G users

edit: the only file in that folder came with my echoe ROM, when would others be produced? would a clean wipe + custom install cause this problem as well?

Which device you have and which ROM? I can provide if I have that ROM on my machine
910G, echoe V2 based on NK4 build.

deleting the one file in there (which is included in the roms ZIP file) doesnt seem to remove the invalid fingerprint + registered password.

wait attaching zip to this post in few min
Edit : I have check and KK have single file only. But here is from stock ROM just flash and check it. If still issue then try making logcat.
flashing that zip didnt change anything.

trying to do a logcat now, not something i've done before.

logcat: sorry if its incorrect, not something i have experience in.

rebooted phone, ran logcat app (catlog) cleared the log (not sure if that was for the GUI, or the file), ran the fingerprint scanner and let it error, then exported the file.

Try wipe data for setting and setting storage with titanium. Again mark that sometime wiping it may make device unresponsive. In that case you may needs to restore nandroid again
edit: Also wipe data for fingerprint with titanium

tried that, also didnt work.

stubborn setting, i wonder where the hell its stored. since it comes back with a nandroid but corrupt it must be in two locations - one that knows theres a password and fingerprint and how many, but the files containing the password and fingerprints are gone.

Bypass(Reset) Lock screen Pattern/Password/PIN/Fingerprint scanning without wipe

We know it's a big pain when you forget PIN/Passowrd/Pattern and you simply can't afford to wipe device as you don't have backup.
Then What?
You were all the night busy with your new beast and when you wake up in morning and notice that your GF/BF took revenge by registering and locking device by his/her fingerprint
Then what? :p

Very simple. Flash attached file from recovery. :)
Didn't work for me :( Installed it and when device reset it went right back to the lock screen
