Worked for pattern bypass
This does not work on Galaxy S5
Though every case may be different, this worked on my Galaxy S5.
It was a phone I bought off a police auction and only had the pattern lock (so I'm not saying it will work on fingerprint) and it was running BOF3 Android 5.0
However, I did not flash it as intended. I flashed it using stock recovery. In stock recovery I did update through ADB, sent the zip file through ADB, a couple of signature errors popped up but because the file was so small, it mustve completed the transfer and the phone reset and sat at the ATT screen for quite a while. I thought it didn't work.
But lo n' behold, after a good while it went to the setup device screen. So that is to say, I'm not sure if it actually spared me of a factory wipe as the device appeared as if it had just been through a factory wipe, but I suppose if nothing was on the phone before than it worked. Though I did see the phone's console (during adb sideload) say that it wiped data, so maybe it didn't work as intended, but no account lock either way.
Besides, I shouldn't be snooping at someone else's photos anyways *slaps self on the wrist*
