You can dirty flash the rom and the original apps will return and c-apps will be gone. Just wipe cache when dirty flashing.

Did you go to twrp, wipe system, cache and dalvik cache then flash the rom zip and the rom zip only then wipe cache and dalvik again and reboot?

Dev host is not full of ads and sorry bro can't mirror. I have slow Internet.

Dev Host IS full of ads. And you can go apply for a BasketBuild account, quoting your works. They give FTP access unlike Dev-Host and also don't drown you in ads. I'll mirror it meanwhile

It will NOT work on dirty-flashing because of the 01-cyngn.sh addon.d script that backs them up each time you flash something. Wiping off everything except data is the solution. And then flashing the ROM ofc

Dark_Optimistic, if it helps at all, if I delete the three dialer related app from the x86 package I linked to then flash that, then flash the ROM again I get the default CM dialer plus the rest of the CAPPS package. So I think it only need to be modified to not flash/mess with the CM dialer stuff, I just don't know how to do that myself.

To do this u need to esit updater script that it will not delete the default dialer app and incall ui. And you also have to delete those dialer related apps. You can check out my capps package for further help.

There is another way...if you want to try then you can go for this:
Flash normal C-apps and boot and you will find cyanogen dialer.
