I see that the European c432 firmware number is 9.0.0.132, while the Asia/Pacific global c636 is 9.0.0.127. Does this mean the European version has more up-to-date firmware than the Asia/Pacific global version?

I've never had a reason too...but is there an easier way to switch between these sub-levels than it is to rebrand all together. Like goto this C432 from C636 without a some special effort like it is to go from AL00 to L29? Or is it basically just as locked up and needing special hack and tools as the full rebrand? It seems HiBoard stays on the Asian models...but you get google cards stuff with left swipe maybe on these Euro ROMs. So wouldn't mind swapping for that.

no it doesn't mean it has more update.. it all depends if phones are sent to operators .. so they might request..
EU version 100% fully works in EU global
and depends of EU law they will ad only security patches..
update about software or HW it is the same ..
C432 and C636 is nearly the same..

Too bad that I bought Global / Asia (c636), l still on October security patch ..
Are not Asians equally concerned about security?

No there are no two global.. you have global .. C636 .. C432 is EU based .. for EU/CE regulations..
Yeah the C432 is with EU charger and multi quick start quide that's also in Dutch. There is a Huawei address in The Netherlands on the phone and box, but they don't sell the Mate 20 X here, very strange....

EAN C432: 6901443272112
EAN C636: 6901443266920

Ony difference i notice now is that Google feed worked out of the box one the C432 and HiBoard is not installed.

Uninstall hiboard via adb. Google replaces it automatically. There are threads about this here. Search. So much better

Do you still get OTA updates after uninstalling hi board from the device ?
I know that when system files are deleted or changed it will no longer download OTA updates.

I am not rooting or doing any customizing to my Huawei Mate 20 X EVR-L29, I am keeping this the way it is stock so Google pay & assistant & everything runs properly.
I have a rooted Huawei Honor Note 8 & a rooted Huawei Honor Note 10 so I didn't need to root or customize this device.
I don't want to do anything that would cause OTA updates to not download.

As long as you guys don't remove the ota.apk, removing anything else has nothing to do with it... You will still get OTA updates... i can confirm this as i have done the same on my LeTV X900 and also Xiaomi Mi Mix 18K...

I bought a new 7 inch LG tablet off Facebook market place & I rooted it & deleted the bloatware apps & after that the updates wouldn't download, the tablet goes to update then halfway through it stops & says error & then reboots.
