Hello everyone! :)

Here is the deodex patch for the KK4.4.4 fw 14.4.A.0.108

Installation procedure. Please follow carefully!

1. Download the deodex patch.
2. Flash the FTF from HERE
3. Now go HERE and download the EasyRootTool v7.zip. Works fine on the 4.4.4
4. Once rooted, install from the playstore the SuperSU. It will ask you to update to the latest binary. Do so (choose Normal mode and not the recovery mode).
5. Now go HERE and download the installer of the latest dual recovery for the Z1. Fire it up and select the option number 1.
6. Install the recovery
7. Now copy the patch you previously downloaded on your phone and reboot in recovery.
8. Install the patch.
9. Wipe cache and dalvik cache.
10. Enjoy and happy modding! :)

Thank you!

Everything goes fine. Im' now on rootet 4.4.4.

After flashing the ftf all data was gone. But I did a backup with TWRP before flashing ftf after rooting and flashing recovery I only restored data in TWRP and all is good.

Thanks for the mirror buddy!

It works in C6943?
Please don't try it. Better not taking that kind of risk. :)

@DaRk-L0rD

may i know what customization firmware did u use for this deodex patch?
ro.semc.version.cust=1276-5833
ro.semc.version.cust_revision=R5C
I used the Generic FR FTF file. :)

When flashing the FTF, is it OK not to WIPE?? To save data and apps.
No. A clean install is always recommended mate.

Installed this patch and it boot looped my phone, on C6903 :-/

Pretty sure you did something wrong mate. Did you follow carefully the instructions? No one so far reported something like this and I tested this method twice before posting get the tutorial and never had an issue.

Just a heads up for any one who wants to try with C6902, wifi and network doesn't work (Most probably some kernel issue, may be some one can come with a patch for it)

Cheers

Go here and search the one for Z1 locked bootloader.
The name is Z1lockeddualrecovery2.7.129-BETA.installer.zip
Make sure you download the installer and not the flashable :)
