This is a great app works fine on my Acer Betouch E101 (WQVGA).

But I had only one point.

The app uses a lot of memory, so my battery is empty in 2 hours....

Do you have any experience with this?

Sorry for my Bad English..... Netherlands ;)

Berentank

May i ask you how much memory is it using?

Right now, it is using 3.58MB on my HTC Diamond, and it never went past 4.5MB

WP7 UI app on HTC touch2

Hi,
I have recently installed the second version (v2) of this app on my HTC Touch2 (wm 6.5). It works very well and so fast;). tne only thing that is missing is the ability to pin the apps to the menu.
Thanks a lot!:D:)

great app.. just one point.

hi. I tried your app just yesterday and it looks really promising. I just have one thing to say. I think the analog clock is very nice but really not readable on sunny weather. When the sun is shining on my display I cal read only big digital clock (in manilla). The small one on the upper right corner is too small to be visible in conditions like that. So I think it'll be useful to consider making some big digital clock just for comfort of using the phone on sunny day.
I don't know if you get my point because my english is poor. Hopefully yes:)

Thanks for the man-hours invested in this project. This is one of the first mods I've made to my HTC Pure and with the exclusion of power use and the need to upgrade .Net Compact Framework it's been a breeze to use.

i hope u'r using Host v1.5

Ashiq

Hi Ashiq,

I am using Host v1.5

i was doing the same... removing and adding the tiles..

well... i have a suggestion... (if possible incorporate it)

A scenario..... (ofcourse, i tried)

while i was adding the tiles. i thought of having Audio Manager as tile.. for this... i was forced to choose the Windows folder by clicking it in the first box .. and scrolling down ( a long way go) till i see Audio Manager.exe.

Instead..

place a box where one can type the path (if it is known) like..... windows\AudioManager.exe to curb down the exercise.

just observed..... some delay in launching the Audio Manager app.

Hi guys, first I would like to thank ashiqiqbal for this amazing theme!
This looks very nice but unfortunatelly I am having ALL sorts of problems.. :(
Maybe someone can help me out

I am trying to use it on my Omnia II with WM 6.5 and the latest firmware:
PDA, PHONE and CSC: XXJJ1
.NET Compact Framework: 3.5.9198.0
I also have OpenGLESv1 and SDKcerts intalled.

But I get a lot of bugs when doing almost anything :(

1. Almost all changes in the WP7 UI Settings menu, like changing the Icon BG color for programs page and pressing Apply cause Host to crash and I can't run it again until I reboot the device, this is the error I get when I try running it before rebooting the device after crash error:
Code:
Host.exe Exception

in
Microsoft.AGL.Common.MISC.HandleAr(PAL_ERROR ar)
in
System.Windows.Forms.ImageList.ImageCollection.Add(Image image)
in g.cz()
in g.e7(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1)
in
System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e)
in
System.Windows.Forms.Form._SetVisibleNotify(Boolean fVis)
in
System.Windows.Forms.Control.set_Visible(Boolean value)
in
System.Windows.Forms.Application.Run(Form fm)
in g.a2()

2. I am also having some graphic problems, like these two:
wp7ui.jpg

On the menu there are those ugly weird white lines that weren't supose to be there I think..
And the pictures tab background is also weird, I think it's supose to be black and aligned..

I am looking forward to use this theme but right now it's impossible due to so many crashes :(
Can anyone help me up?
Thanks in advance guys!

    Host V1.5

    Host-V1.5-ScreenShots.png

Like i said before, i'm only learning wm programming.. so nothing big..

This is a standalone app. You can customize it to make it look like WP7.

Should work on all screen types (QVGA/WQVGA/VGA/WVGA), other than the square/HVGA ones.

    REQUIRES:
    1. WM6.5
    2. .net compact framework 3.5 (usually built into WM6.5 cutom ROMs. if not, u'll need to install it)

    still beta...i'll assume no responsibilities...

    things to do..
just install the cab (on device) and run from the start menu.

REMEMBER to uninstall before a new install

i'd recommend all today items to be disabled first (not needed, but saves battery and memory)

    New video of Host v1.5:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eO2_AaPe74

Tested on HTC HD2 (ROM: Duttys), HTC Touch 3G (ROM: Megade) and Samsung OMNIA II (i8000) (ROM: Stock 6.5).. dont know how it'll go on other devices..should work on all devices with WM6.5

Condition for use: Leave a comment :)

Remember when downloading: HostV1.5.CAB is the new version. HostV1 and WP7V2.0.CAB are the old ones. if you find V1.5 too heavy for u'r device, u may opt for WP7V2.0.
(keeping all of them for download)

    ChangeLog for Host V1.5:
    1. No confirmation for lockscreen (10 Dec, 2010)
    2. Screen stretched to fit screen if all buttons at the bottom bar are hidden (10 Dec, 2010)
    3. SharePoint and OneNote added in officepage (10 Dec, 2010)
    4. Shortcuts background has been removed (10 Dec, 2010)

use total comander. create shortcut of host.exe , copy to windows\startup folder

I installed a really bare 6.5 rom, it only had media player, and when i tap pictures, it says : program could not be launched.
can i just assign any program to it or do i need a specific program?

assign it to anything of u'r choice..
