on my note 4, I could use my s-pen to write on the calendar and save so that i could see my scribbles on the calendar at any time. I do not see this in the verizon note 7 verizon. Anyone know how to restore this useful function?

thanks

Yes, I also want to know this. I had the note 3, I use this daily and it actually makes me want to give this phone back. Not very useful if one can't make quick notes. It's how I make my work schedule and remind myself not to over book. It's my way of life.

I didn't own the note 4 so not sure if this is exactly what you are looking for, but when you click on the day with the spen, a notes screen does pop up. It changes your writing to text though, which can be frustrating if you have chicken scratch like I do.

The older versions calender had a mini calender at the top right corner. Once selected it with the s pen you could write on the calender itself, you just had to save it. Then it was in the calender for a quick view.

I saw where one can add a note inside a specific day, but I personally do not want to add a note inside a day that I may not remember to check.

I used it to help manage the days I would allow myself to pick up extra shifts, schedule days off, count down to vacations, notes to add in shifts w/special needs-call call back pay or write my pto hours when needed. It was very handy. It truly was an extension to my mobile calender vs one you had to carry around in a bag. Saved me that extra $10-15 a year because it was always at my finger tips. I uses that quick view to reply back to coworkers on days I could help cover shifts. Now the quick view has been removed completely.

anyone know if it is possible to install the note 4 S Planner apk's (which apparently carries this function I want) without borking the note 7?

Each year, software gets stripped more and more, making the galaxy S and galaxy Note series virtually the same aside from the spen. It's lame. The Note hasnt felt epic since the Note 3/4.
