When you call granny, does she keep saying "Huh?! Wut?!" or does the conversation flow pretty well? Rate this thread to express how you feel about the Samsung Galaxy S7's call quality. A higher rating indicates that calls are clear and crisp, and that regardless of background noise, you can hear the other party clearly (and with ample volume) and they can hear you.

Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

I have zero complaints. Even kept a clear call in a place I was used to always dropping on my g4 (1 specific corner coming into my little rural town).

Galaxy S7 Exynos version here.

Call quality is really low & phone reception is really weak .......... talking in noisy place is really hard to handle by the S7 .

I wasn't expecting such performance ......but it is maybe because of water proof stuff.

during a call there is an extra volume option but it is not helping specially if someone is working outside office.

Samsung should fix that issue if it is fixable

I have had my s7 for a few weeks and it has the worst cellular reception of any phone I have ever owned in my life.

I have lived in the same place for 17 years and been on the same network for 10 years and have NEVER had a call fail to come through to me and never been unable to make a call - until I got this phone.

The reception where I live is pretty bad - on iphone for instance, I get 1-2 dots downstairs and 3 upstairs.

Noticed a couple of weeks ago that I was getting alerts that I had voicemail. Most of my communication is via whatsapp etc using wifi, hadn't occurred to me to look at the cellular coverage, but when I did, I noticed that half the time, I have no signal at all. If I do get a signal and then pick the phone up, it usually vanishes.

The maximum I can get is 1 bar and even with that, if I call the phone, it goes straight through to VM.

I bought two of these phones at the same time - one to give to my business partner when we meet later this month - so I tried using the second phone - and it is even worse!

In short, have used six different BlackBerries and three different iPhones (plus a cheap credit card size phone) and none of them have ever missed a single call in my house, however, have used two S7s in the same locations and same network and can confirm they are almost unuseable.

Anyone want to buy two nearly new S7s? would suit someone who does not want to be disturbed by people phoning them!

Constant hissing

When I am on a call, I can notice a constant hissing from the earspeaker. It's very faint and this is only noticeable in a quiet environment, either calling landlines and mobiles. In 2g is somehow lower. I have tried different cell towers and signal levels. Same result. The earspeaker is working well however, only this background noise that seems to start when a call is being established.
