When you call granny, does she keep saying "Huh?! Wut?!" or does the conversation flow pretty well? Rate this thread to express how you feel about the Samsung Galaxy Tab A series's call quality. A higher rating indicates that calls are clear and crisp, and that regardless of background noise, you can hear the other party clearly (and with ample volume) and they can hear you.

Great call quality on the t285 (normal calls)

Review for normal call function, not speaker phone.
Call quality is really good, the main phone speaker is very large, it needs to be turned down to be less audible to others and to hold phone closer to ear (ok, tablet, but i use it as phone). Friends and family hear me really very well. Because the tablet is bigger and heavier than a real phone, the speakers and mic can be bigger I guess. phone calls are very functional on this device, as good as any real phone i have used, only it looks a bit daft due to 7" size.
(at last a general consumer question i can actually answer lol!)

With google dialer set up my t550 makes absolutely perfect calls. Obviously on speaker phone only
