You must root (and trip knox) if you want native call recording easily on Exynos.

Moto G4 Plus
Samsung Galaxy S20
So far there is no user complained about Galaxy S20 SM-G988U. I guess it works great, no root needed.
Please in Boldbeast Recorder:
- Tap "Call Settings - Manually Record Calls - Hotkey" to open the Accessibility settings screen, enable Boldbeast Call Recorder accessibility service on the screen.
- Tap "Set Default Settings".
Then it works at once.

Used it flawlessly on my S7, now just as flawlessly on my G988U1. Highly recommend.

Hello I have just acquired the S20 ultra 5G: sm-G988B and I am in France

I tried with Cube ACR but it doesn't work, do you have a solution without rooting for this phone?

I found out that with Cube if I don't put on the headset it works, if I'm on speaker it works as well it's already good.

Problem with the wired headset of the S20 Ultra it does not work, you also on your S20?

If you have a solution, I'll take it

I would like to point out that my S20 Ultra is not root

i have samsung s20 plus 5g SM-G986B (ITV) is it possible to change csc to (CHC) to have native call recording?

Mod edit: Translation.

Hi, of course yes .... change it to THL (better with firmware also downloaded in THL).

You restart and you find the recorder; only caution do not change the settings of the SIM and leave the native ones .. do not put those of the ita manager (you will see a request to that effect).

True phone is working fine so far as automatic call recorder seamless.

I am using S20 5G Snapdragon version. So far enjoying the app. I think it is most customizable and very user friendly.

S20+ in Thailand does have built-in voice recorder. Works as intended.

my friend do you find any solution?

Here is what I found so far:
    • ACR Pro 33.1 unchained - records but playback speed is wrong (too fast)
    • Boldbeast v13.1 - working OK, but only for 30s in free version, unless you start recording manually by pressing the Record button.
    • Cube ACR v2.2.176 - working OK, no need to buy premium (I recommend this app). Download .apk directly from https://cubeacr.app/

My phone is Samsung Galaxy S20+ 4G, Australian market, bought directly from Samsung, everything stock, no root.
    Model SM-G985F, Build G985FXXU1ATBK.

To make Cube ACR work, I did the following:
Go to Cube ACR Settings -> Recording settings -> Phone recording audio source -> choose "voice recognition (software)".
Scroll down and turn on "Normalize Speed" setting.
Go back, Settings -> Miscellaneous -> scroll down all the way -> press each one of the four buttons and turn on accessibility settings, turn off battery optimization, and so on...

That's it, you should be all good. Try it and see if it records and plays back properly.

All "international exynos versions have call recording built-in into the software. To enable it, the right flag should be enabled in the cscfeature.xml file (you need root for that, unencrypt the file, modify it and overwrite it back again).
However I'm not sure if you can write to that product partition anymore, on the S20s (we cannot write to system directly anymore). Worst case scenario, a Magisk module could do it.
I'll try it now on my S20+ 5G (intl) and report back ??

    Hi,
Has anyone managed to get call recording to work on any of the S20 phones?

Many of the call recording apps don't work, but I read somewhere that if you root the phone you can get it to record.

Another website mentions changing the CSC to one of the countries that allow call recording, for example Thailand. Apparently there is a built-in recorder in those countries' S20 phones.

Is there any way to get it to record?

    Thanks!

I think you can choose only: China (Open China) (CHC), Hong Kong (TGY), Taiwan (BRI).
Don't think you got THI firmware available. Sorry.
