S Duos 3 is released . Our s duos has fair hardware but it does not have any latest Android os . It's still running on the laggy ICS which is almost outdated . We had some kk port attempts but none of it was good (buggy versions ) . I created this thread to wake up every one to make it possible. Now I am calling all developers for doing this . If we can make an open source base rom , then it's better for each developers to mod it and rebrand to their own names . But it is possible only if have a strong base . Anyway I am gonna mention some developers who did already given contributions to s duos .

@cheatman
@Mohitash @husen4u @SilverDragon24
@abhi922 @gkostas @v_superuser
@charles1111

I know I missed some of them . But they're also welcomed to make a port .

Lets have a look at the specs of the S7562
CPU: 1 GHz Single Core
RAM: 768 MB
Usable Memory: about 1.8 GB
Price: 16k INR

Now lets look at the Moto E
CPU: 1.2 Ghz Dual Core
RAM: 1 GB
Usable Memory: 2.3 GB
Price: 7k INR

Now do you see why the phone the S7562 CM project was abandoned?

Google says KitKat will work on lower end devices (especially 512 mb ram ) .
Have a look at this too..
Celkon a35k campus

Ram : 256
ROM : 512
It is also on 4.4.2

Anyway , I am pretty sure that s duos has the minimum requirements compared to other devices .

I know it does but we have more advanced devices at affordable prices..... Things start becoming obsolete in these situations.
Noo . I don't think so ..
If everyone can buy new devices for getting new softwares or os , then please tell me what is the need of XDA and those of respected developers? Still no one can buy new android devices weakly to get updated :rolleyes:
We can no more change the hardwares , then why can't we think about changing the software?
( i saw that in your sig. you are using your SilverNexus rom and CM11 at the same time . It shows how much you like it ).

Anyway I am going to continue my works ... It is very bad to see devs are not interested

Its not about software, its about hardware. ant by the way I use my S Duos as an MP3 Player with CM11 and like an old nokia phone just for calling and sms on SilverNexus.
Anyway just leave it if you're not interested . But finally one question , don't you like a CM12 or CM11 on s duos ? Or are you ready to buy a new nexus device to use lollipop ???
