Hey Guys,

I opened a thread in the offical Huawei Forum in order to try to push a little the better implementation of the camera 2 api. I know chances are low, but if there is enough feedback and participation in the discussion maybe there is a chance for change. So please feel free to contribute to the thread and also share it if you are interested in better camera 2 api implementation.

Thank you for sharing the links and for the support. I know the chances are low that this is going to change something but maybe huawei pays some attention to the community...

I don't know how much this will really matter in the recent light of the huawei ban, but we received an answer regarding the Camera2api implementation in the forums.

Lets hope that the noise made about this topic is enough to maybe move something a a better direction.

Huawei doesn‘t care, I bet. At least Lightroom can shoot HDR DNG with the ultra wide cam...

I wanted to make a comment about this. I just bought the p30 pro here in China. I have been waiting for the emui 10 update. But, I also found on Huawei's website the Huawei Camerakit, which it says encapsulates the Google camera2 API. It requires Android studio version 3.0.1 or later, a Kirin 970 or later, and emui 8.1.0 or later... Wouldn't this mean a developer like the people on here could implement it? I am hoping you all have an explanation/some enlightenment!
