Works fine on paranoid 4.5 beta 4 only problem is that while capturing still photos the view finder freezes (although picutre is captured fine) then to take other picture you have switch video mode and then again to camera mode

Very nice. Tried and worked on CM11 and on dandroid13's untouched GPE. Video is smooth as glass. THANK YOU!!!

I've been trying various vanilla android roms for a year but never got past the video issue. Now finally I can give them some serious consideration.

Sometimes the display stutters while taking a video. But none of that comes through to the final video. Seems without the fix, the video is ok in extremely bright light. But then when you pan to a dim area, the camcorder increases the shutter time instead of bumping up iso.

edit: After trying still photos, I also noticed the viewfinder freezes and won't take another photo.

I just tried it on GPE and Mahdi also. The video is smooth as silk, but the still pictures freeze on the viewfinder, can't take another one without restarting. It'd be great if you could fix that, I'm wanting to try the Auto (HJR) iso mode for stills, thinking it might reduce blur in low light. But it would also be great if you could just treat this as a camcorder only app, rename it's icon to Camcorder or something, and make it open in video mode by default. Then I could use another camera app for stills which would be fine. Thanks for your efforts.

CM12?

Any chance you're working on a CM12 version? I guess most people don't care about video quality, maybe that's why camcorder quality remains broken in CM. Without your fix I couldn't use CM11. Now tried your fix on the recent unofficial CM12 and it didn't work. :(

I don't understand why CM team and other developers don't replace the camera with this :(

@marouane80 loving you!! :highfive:

Works good with GPE 5.0, the new material icon is nice!

Here some little differences about the fps
KK

LP

On Lollipop min and max fps are 5fps higher than KK, is it for new camera api? The result is anyway perfect!

I flashed the camera on a GPE before the first boot (after a wipe) and then the cellular service was broken for me too, so I thought the problem was on rom or radio.

So I confirm the problem :(
So how did you manage to get it working? BTW I flashed it after rebooting my ROM.

Sorry, but I don't know how to solve the problem because after I checked the camera I restored my nandroid of GPE 4.4. I'll do a clean install of LP next week.

Thanks for great work! 16 FPS camera recording was always problem for me on any CM rom. It really work on CM 12.0, but after I installed CM 12.1 (clean install) and this mod I was hang on CM logo :/ so I must go back to the CM12... Is there any way to get it working on latest Android version?

Have you tried to delete build.prop?
