I'm sorry, I did not install 8.3 ... 8.2 works well and I left that one.
I have just come to know about this possibility to "upgrade" the A8, just a question please: google-camera-portrait-mode-t3736859 is this the "miniuser gcam" you are referring to?
Besides, I would like to get front camera picture without different focus level -the background is always blurred - but I cannot find a way in settings, maybe you know how to do it?

Rear camera and front camera set from settings 10 megapixel 18,5:9. Very good photos.

With "open camera" from google play i have 2k and 3k video.(First go to settings and enable "use camera2 API)
With "Filmic-Pro" from google play i have 4k Video.

What about a manual or pro photo mode? anyway we can change the time of exposure?
Could you please summarize how to improve rear camera on A8? I tried different googlecamera version from miniuser thread but does not work - all pictures veiled with violet shade.

This camera is freezing on my Galaxy A8 (2018), SM-A530F.
I have the same instability issues with mine when trying to shoot selfies. But back camera works just fine. Download the camera app in the video description. It's exactly the same as the one i am using
