Im having omnivision sensor and the HDR option is not avaible for me at all Oneplus Cameras that i try :(.
HDR is something that you must have for darker shadow photo and low light photos.
Hope some one find a fix for this.
If this HDR setting will be fixed and panorama settigns.
Well that gonna make me a purfect Custom Rom hapy phone.
Same here

Well, drivers for omnivision cam sensors in custom Roms still have not been fixed yet in custom roms

Well i clearly stated that i can SELECT the option and i don't notice much DIFFERENCE. Yep I've never used a one plus camera before. But I've used one of my friend's one plus. And that hq option might be some one plus framework+libs related.
Exactly. U need specific lib files and not only that... it depends on ur sensor type... Redmi Note 4 has 3 different type of sensors... Omnivision... Sony... and Samsung... Mine is Samsung sensor and dont forget the OP5 is a Sony sensor... so if urs is a Sony sensor MAYBE it might work... but as of now... it doesn't work... it is proven in other forums...

i am going to prove it to you all using ExifTool:

HQ - https://dl2.pushbulletusercontent.com/Hz38Z6bKfB6zcF8IcqHLeCmMbd7M9WOk/IMG_20170909_103317.jpg
HDR - https://dl2.pushbulletusercontent.com/Esolmy7so5lyzLceiwM2p2PaIWSNmlda/IMG_20170909_103322.jpg

and these are the data i got from ExifTool:

HQ -
---- XMP ----
XMP Toolkit : Adobe XMP Core 5.1.0-jc003
Capture Mode : Photo
Scene : ClearShot
Is HDR Active : False
Lens Facing : Back

HDR -
---- XMP ----
XMP Toolkit : Adobe XMP Core 5.1.0-jc003
Capture Mode : Photo
Is HDR Active : False
Lens Facing : Back

these are the XMP values from the EXIF metadata. for HQ mode it says scene is "ClearShot" however this is not the case because it is clearly not working... as u can still see all the grains and noise...as for the HDR shot... i dont need to explain any further... if u still dont believe me just download ExifTool and check it urself...

Using Redmi note 4SD running Ressurection Remix 5.8.3 Camera2 api enabled. It is working Fine with the exception of panorama mode.Tried it on 4 different RN4 devices. Somebody confirm RAW feature plz.
How to Enable Camera2 Api(root access & ESfile explorer(with R/W permit) needed)
goto-/device/system/ and edit build.prop file. Add this line in #camera section w/o quotes 'persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1'.Save & Reboot and voila. Not responsible for any screwups.

I have redmi note 4X snaodragon, running custom ROM(ViperOS). This camera rocks! Colors are just amazing! One bad thing is that panorama doesn't work, but thats the only bad one. You were talking that HDR doesn't work, but I think differently. I compared it to other camera programs, and I think that you only have 2 options. You can choose HDR or HQ. Theres no option to disable any of them. You can just switch bethween them. Hallpy using, and thanks for that excellent share!
