How do I know if it's twisting in 60fps or 30fps?

Settings - Video - Recording mode: "normal" - 30fps, "smooth motion" - 60fps.

Do you think its too much to ask if we can increase the 1080p video bitrate higher then 17mbps? Maybe to 20mbps or so? :D
Difference in quality is very very small. Default bitrates is optimal.

Thanks again for the mod, the sound at this bitrate is less crystallized..:good:

I use to have 30mbps mod on my SGS3 and on my wifes SGS4,.... both at that bitrate have much better video quality.
There are much less blocking artifacts on moving objects and the higher rate eliminates some solarization.
I thought 24mbps would be the perfect balance.

Dont know if you watch your videos on a TV, or a full resolution monitor but motion blocking especially is very noticeable.
Im in the film industry so its not so optimal for me...

That when a moment comes into light - I have to grab my wifes S4 to use the video camera instead of my note kinda annoys me -
That's mainly why I asked.

With my 'original' camera the 1920x1080 60fps video looks somewhat pixelated, here's a screenshot:

(view at 100% please)
With 30fps it appears not to be, could that be the default (LOW) bitrate?

Hmm cam mod does not work... camera icon disappears from app list...

hello it is possible to improve the quality slow motion?
Not possible. Quality of camera module is low for this.

In 1920x1080x60 mode quality is downgraded to achieve 60 fps (not possible to fix that). Higher bitrate dont help (defaults: 30fps-17Mbit, 60fps-28Mbit).
Copy apk one more time and look carefully, then reboot.

Copied it... doesn't work... by the way how did you know that the quality is downgraded, besides seeing it in the video of course...

1 But it works at other people. Copy SamsungCamera2.apk to "system/app" give to it rw-r--r-- permissions, delete SamsungCamera2.odex if exist, reboot. Search carefully for camera in your apps.
2 Camera firmware do this, more fps - bigger load - lower quality (120fps - worst quality). 320x200 maybe can take 300fps.

I did that, the .odex file isn't there, trust me I tried it 2 times just to be sure :)
...ow... I do have the International version... thought I was in the 'regular' section... doh...

"What default bitrate in this mode and how many you want? I will make it for you, but dont expect too much. This mode is very tricky, for 120fps quality is downgraded for processing in real time. "

I don't understand the question. How many??? what bitrate default?

I can work on the bitrate question. what bitrate is it using now? what do you mean by processing in real time? you mean it might not finish right away when I hit "stop" ? I noticed sometimes when I record 4k it will say processing at the end before I can do anything else.

I am totally ok with that if that is what you mean.

is this an APK mod? so need the 4k mod built into it or separate?
